We LOVED the focus on the environment and the eclectic decorations. Breakfast was good and so was the coffee. Only one person made us give a less than "excellent" rating. After seeing we were having 2 beers each in our room she tried to lecture me on "responsible drinking" and when I said I wasn't interested in a lecture she then tried to school me on proper garbage disposal. When I informed her that the night before we separated our paper and glass and plastic and compost garbage she finally had nothing to say. Such a shame she ruined an otherwise perfect stay. Her attitude was very hostile, staring me down angrily as I spoke. I have stayed here before but will perhaps miss this good responsible hotel in the future because of the insulting patronizing
behaviour of this one person.
I needed a place to sleep for a short night before catching a flight. Elicon House is very basic, like a dormitory, but it was clean and a cheap place to sleep for a short night. I would stay here again given a similar situation.
Did not expect that the hotel would be very very strict. Guess are not even allowed but just at the lounge area but the entrace door is kind of weired cause the conceirge have to press a button for you to enter. Not my kind of safety.
Its location is good right at the center of the city. A plus, the house is clean, but the staff is not that friendly, no affection , its a home relationship, nevermind attitude , for as long as you pay.
