Hotel was lovely. Great location. Easy check in. Did not know bedroom was upstairs. That might be a problem for some people but was fine with us.

Great location. Love the two story design—gives me privacy when I wake up at 5am. The courtyard is sweet and decorated with sparkly lights.

Will stay here again! I wasn’t feeling well and the woman at the front desk was so helpful. She even gave me her can of Coke! Great place and close to everything. We walked everywhere.

Great location!

Excellent front desk staff and location! I liked the layout with the king bed upstairs and queen pull out downstairs. Some lighting was stark and needed warm tone bulbs! No reading/sitting chair in the upstairs suite… that was an issue - no where to sit and no floor lamp.

Unique historical property with pleasant inner courtyard, next to City Market. Living room, kitchen and halfbath on entry floor, bedroom and full bath on upper floor, very comfortable beds. Only problem upstairs shower water was barely warm.

We had no hot water, shower controls broken. Needs paint , baseboards dirty. Air conditioning made a loud banging noise that kept us awake all night. Location is perfect.

Charming 120 year old small hotel. Loved the courtyard. Outstandingly helpful young man at the front desk. I didn't want to leave. I would definitely stay there again as long as I can climb stairs.

The young man at the front desk (Jaden?) was partiularly friendly and helpful. This is a charming property in a great location. I would definitely stay there again. I didn't want to leave.

Accommodating staff. BUT. -The coffee maker in room was terrible. -No handrail in shower. -There were no accessible rooms as we requested. -The wine glasses had lipstick stains in them and were obviously not cleaned. -Extremely difficult to read room numbers on doors because they were so worn away. -The TV did not function which is fine because the remote was absolutely filthy and disgusting. -the rug in the lobby is old and lifted which was a dangerous tripping hazard

What a great hotel! We've been on the road with our 8 month old son for a couple weeks. At other hotels, even if we splurged for a suite to get a little extra room for his pack n play, we had to turn the lights off once he went down to sleep. But the Church Street Inn truly felt like a home away from home. We were able to put our son down to sleep on the top floor and stay up watching TV and eating powdered donuts on the floor below. We were also able to sterilize his bottles in the kitchenette in the morning before departing. And the hotel is so centrally located to enjoy the best Charleston has to offer. Right beside the market. Restaurants all around. King Street shopping just two blocks away. We'll be talking about our stay at Church Street Inn for years.
