Bathroom was disgusting, particularly the shower and shower fixtures broken; smoke alarm was covered by masking tape (probably by previous person who wanted to smoke, but housekeeping should have seen that when they cleaned the room); the air conditioner ran all night and sounded like a loud washing machine; and the windows had plantation shutters and light shown through … no way to darken the room while sleeping.

This place was absolutely lovely! Family like environment and amazing customer service. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable. Very very clean. Had a pool with an amazing view over the river. 10/10 will be booking with them every time we come to Charleston.

Not what we remember :(

Not what we remember! Stayed a year ago and even recommended it to friends. Sorry to say it is vey noisy at night because of the restaurant across the street. Drag racing going on. Needs furniture to sit on not just the bed. Breakfast was quick and warm.

For the money spent, the property fit what we needed and was super clean. Parking was easy and free. Outside areas were lit well at night. Marsh view with the dock was an added bonus. Pool looked clean although it was too cold for us to use but it was open for anyone brave enough at that temp. The property as a whole is obviously very old but has been renovated and like I said before was super clean. You can tell the owners are trying to bring it up to todays standards with the amenities such as TVs that use streaming services each guest can sign into if they have proper accounts, better sleeping beds and linens, and overall colors / finishes used in the renovation. Wear and tear on the property is evident but again, it is a GREAT value for the price point. Breakfast offered was a “grab & go” kind of deal with hot coffee and at least 3 types of creamers but welcomed at this price point. Property is far enough away from downtown to be quiet and easy to navigate to but still close enough to get there quickly and be an affordable option to the majorly overpriced options in downtown. If the above statement is what you’re after, I HIGHLY recommend this property.

The bathroom condition was very poor. Toilet was loose. Tub had mold. Tiles needed new grout. Window covers were not able to block the outside lights.
