The walls are extremely thin, so we could hear the folks in the room next door as well as we would have if they had been in our room. We thoroughly enjoyed the location of the hotel and its accessibility to shopping, the historic district and restaurants. The staff were professional, upbeat, and pleasant. The hotel was well maintained and clean. We plan to come back to the Emeline, when we return to Charleston.

Lovely hotel. The upgrade to a suite was nice. If we had more time we could have enjoyed the amenities more. Easy to get around. Breakfast was delicious. Front desk staff were great, but noticed other members of their team on the phone who could have been friendlier.

Nice property in historic Charleston. Liked the sparking and still water options and fruit coffee bar on floor. Sofa and bed in room not comfortable and in need of replacement. Record player and one TV remote did not work. Overall room just ok a bit small.

Check-in was easy. We received a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was awesome. Only issue was the coffeemaker dispensed more coffee than the cups could hold. Messy. The food at Franny and The Fox was tasty but the dining room was crazy cold. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking. We were very pleased with our stay.

Checking in to the hotel took a really long time. We arrived early and apparently that was not a good thing because we had to wait 2 hours to be checked in. The water pressure in the bathroom was horrible (pretty much a tricled in the sink) and whenever we used the shower, the part that switches the water from shower to tub, kept poppoing off. I think the hetel could use some care. Other than this, we really liked the hotel. I couldn't help wondering though, if we were given a room without a good view and made to wait to check-in because we booked with Expedia and not directly with the hotel.
