I booked my stay through Expedia. The day of the stay, I called to see if it was okay if we checked in later than the website said, and I was told that my reservation was nowhere to be found in their system. Long story short, the hotel was not accommodating at all and had to find a new place to stay at the very last minute.

Between Expedia and the Hyatt Charleston, Historic, they cancelled my reservation an hour before I arrived at the hotel to check-in, 3:45 on May 1st, well before the normal 4:00pm check in time. I and my wife stayed one night at the hotel and then had to find alternate accommodations in a very busy graduation, wedding, conference weekend at considerable inconvenience. I plan on pursuing my legal options.

Everyone was really nice. Highly recommend the Hyatt house. No free parking on premises. You either pay underground parking at hotel or valet park which to me was the easiest. Tyler the valet guy was so very nice and helpful.

The staff is always amazing! So nice to walk in and be greeted with a smile. They go above and beyond to make sure all your needs and expectations are met. The rooms are clean and AC works great. Fantastic breakfast also.

The outside fire pit was nice and so was the roof top bar, but I wish it had better views. The staff was not helpful when we inquired about tours, sightseeing or transportation. We had no soap in our bathroom and we had to request some several times, before receiving it.
