Overall I enjoyed the stay biggest issue is Parking was TIGHT!! I drove my ford expedition glad I had nothing bigger to get in the parking spot and the alley way going to back of house could use a trim on some bushes.
The property was a little run down and not as well appointed as I would have liked. Front bedroom is very loud because of traffic. The kitchen is decent. Would be nice to have an extra blanket or two. The location is decent for going downtown for restaurants and shopping. Parking is very tight.
Cute place - but of course due to the historic age like most of Charleston, floors were slanted and you had to be careful with the front and bedroom doors swinging open. Proximity to restaurants good but couldn't sleep due to the street just outside the front bedroom - constant car and foot traffic. Parking in the back of the building was difficult - best suited for very small cars! Be careful with the refrigerator - both bottom and freezer doors had to be secure, not sure if it needs to be replaced. Did not use any of the appliances, just stayed one night. Also alot of fabric softner in comforter/sheets - smell overwhelming.
Place was nice, attention to the cleaning detail, floors, door frames where handled and light switches should be cleaned after each visitor stay. Just an observation as we are professional cleaners. The noise from the metal plates on the road in front of the house kept us up throughout the night.
We were in town for the symphony and this was everything i was hoping for during our stay. Clean, private, close to dining and entertainment, and the hosts were very communicative. I would definitely stay here again.
The property is situated in a residential area with easy access airport, cultural venues, King Street where the majority of retail shops and restaurants are. The propertyâs interior was cozy and inviting.
Location was so close to downtown Charleston and all it has to offer! 71A was perfect for us, we loved the layout of the space, location and hosts were so helpful! I hesitate to tell others to stay here only because I'd love for it to be available for us to stay again!
We enjoyed our stay! The VRBO was so charming and perfectly clean! Close to night life so that will keep you awake late. This is the bottom unit and the unit above must have thin floors because you could hear all the footsteps above. Just something to note if traveling with children or babies!
Beautiful historical home in the heart of Charleston. Would definitely stay at location again. Very clean and exactly as described. Thank you for being a great host.
Property was amazing. We only needed a place to stay for the night while doing a college tour and wanted some place to show the character of the area. Really wish we could've stayed a couple of extra days to enjoy the property. Beds were great, the living area was very cozy, and the kitchen was fantastic! Very walkable as well.
We had a great stay here. The second bedroom is a little tight with larger luggage but outside of that, totally great. The location was very ideal and the area felt secure and safe. We didnât utilize parking but it looked just fine. The washer/dryer didnât dry too well, but absolutely could have been user error on our end. Thank you for a great stay!
We enjoyed our stay here. The property manager was quick to respond with any questions we had. Amenities were great. The beds were comfy. Might want to bring noise cancellation, the master bed was facing the street and could be noisy. The coffee shop Bad Bunnies was just 5 minutes away which was great!!
This apartment was stylish, well-equipped, clean, and perfect for our family of four. Our daughters 15 and 20 loved the apartment and said they wished we were staying much longer. Thank you for the perfect, fun, classy place for our family of four to stay.
Wonderful and comfortable stay away from hustle and bustle
We loved this property! It was close enough to walk to a variety of restaurants and shops, and it was close enough to drive locally in the city and in the general area in 20-30 minutesâ time. It was comfortable, spacious and well-kept. Will definitely stay here again in the future!
We had a wonderful stay in Charleston. I was looking for a place that met the price point and was relatively close to down town. This rental fit the bill. It is a very old home but is typical of the historic Chaleston style and was updated with all the amenities we needed. The hosts were available via email quickly and answered all of our questions. Parking is limited and a tight squeeze but we also drive a larger SUV so that didn't help...lol. We managed fine though. If you are a light sleeper then the early a.m. street sweeper will wake you up. But, I appreciate the city keeping things clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. Great hosts.
