Hard to find cottage, pictures misleading, located between a Us Hwy ( Rt 250) and a operating raikroad track Owner should label light switches, some are hidden. Also, put some gravel around homemade firepit. Could be a fire hazard surrounding firepit with leaves, etc. We enjoyed the cottage, just some friendly suggestions
This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return!
We had a great stay! My only comment would be that it would be nice to have blackout curtains in the bedrooms. But otherwise, this was a beautiful, clean home!
Perfect in every way. A rare instance where it was even better than the pictures (and those are pretty nice!). Great attention to detail, the check-in directions were very clear, and the place was lovely. Didn't feel like a rental at all. Will definitely be back
The cabin was beautiful and a perfect place for us to relax. The location was phenomenal and closely located to Shenandoah and many amazing towns to explore.
We stayed here two nights and got to wander around Charlottesville. It was fantastic. Clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen was so great to cook dinner in. We will be back for sure!
Perfect location for winery, golf, dining and shopping in the Crozet and Charlottesville area. I would definitely recommend and consider staying here again.
The Ivy Rose Cottage was very comfortable and creatively decorated. The kitchen is nicely supplied for cooking simple meals. The trains did not disturb us and were fun to watch, especially the Amtrak. Great pizza and local brewery in nearby Crozet plus an excellent Harris Teeter grocery. Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for an out-of-town stay.
Great cabin. Layout, furnishings and touches exceeded expectations. Organized and easy. Loved the lighting and plants. Train was a bonus. Weâll be back.
Really enjoyed our stay at this unique property, it is very pretty cottage in a nice area. Stayed here with my wife and parents to attend a wedding in Crozet. Very close to Monticello and some very cool walking trails. The host were very responsive and accommodating.
This place was clean, quiet ( besides the occasional train which we personally enjoyed) and the hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us. We would stay here again!
We enjoyed the beautifully constructed home perched in the stunning fall landscape. Clean and equipped with all the necessities for a stay. Seeing the stars was a treat! We visited the area for Parents Weekend at UVA and it was a short drive. We hope to return to their special retreat!
The pictures for this cottage donât do it any justice - itâs absolutely adorable.
We stayed for the weekend for a wedding down the road and if we ever need to stay in the area again, we will definitely be here.
