This place was very overpriced for what it is. Paid over $600 for two nights and had a loud “leak” sound that sounded like a waterfall going all night. Complained to front desk as my children couldn’t sleep and were scared. We had to stay in that room all night, got no sleep. Very dirty stained up rooms. Would not recommend. This “accommodation” ruined the first two nights of our vacation.

Convenient location

The hotel is under renos, our room was in the building across the road. Beds were comfy, room was dated- not a big deal. The smell of stale cigarette smoke was very strong in the hallway. The breakfast was decent for a continental, something for everyone.

Stay away. Paint chips and dirty carpets on hallway. Fridge made high pitch sound, AC was loud, tub wouldn’t hold water due to lose drain plug, shower curtain too short and no magnets to stick to tub that it was a battle to keep floor from getting soaked - had to get several rugs and towels to use as mops, closet door knob lose, cabinet door hinge broken, wifi keeps dropping or won’t connect at all, stayed 2 days but no house keeping, Reno in adjacent room was noisy during day, front door to building left unlocked during the day as card sensor not working and physically locked at night so access was only through back of building, timer on one waffle maker not working in breakfast area had to use my watch. We paid full price of $330/night not to stay in a dump with no notification from management about renovations until we arrived. Shower issue was never fixed so had to endure the battle on both days of our stay. Only good thing is beds are comfy and pool is warm.

DO NOT BOOK! RIP OFF

Paid for a dump when I booked specifically for a “Renovated Deluxe Studio”. Doors didn’t close because it didn’t fit in the frame. Electrical wires protruding out of light installations, scratched teflon pans, paint chips everywhere…. Just a sad state. Misleading information is deceptive and I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.

I booked “Renovated Deluxe Studio”. There is NOTHING “renovated” or “deluxe” about this place. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Everything about this information is misleading and a lie. My bathroom door doesn’t close, things are falling apart, paint is falling off everywhere. Kitchen is horrible. Scratched teflon pans and nothing to wash dishes with or soap. All utensils appear to be mismatched as if they’ve been stolen from other places. The hallway is covered in dust, no one bothers to at least vacuum the hallways. I was overcharged for a “renovated deluxe studio”.

The renovated room is nice and spacious. Comfy beds. Good that they are renovating. The building looks depressing. We skipped breakfast, it’s so unappealing, no hot options at all. Just boiled eggs, bread and waffle. With the fee they charge, they could have at least offer a decent breakfast. Would not recommned.

Although we paid for a ‘renovated room’, the room still needed work done to it, this was disappointing, especially for the price of the room. Standards need to be improved. For a conference hotel, it is imperative that you have solid wifi connections. Our wifi never worked. The maintenance guy was supposed to come in the next day to fix it. Haha! When we register as 4 people, why do you give me 3 towels and tell me this is standard practice? The next day, again, I had to ask for another towel. The attention to detail is simply not happening. If your rooms are not completed, your wifi is terrible and your property is under a great deal of renovation, why do you still charge top dollar? This has turned me off and I’ll not return in the future. The breakfast was fine, the ladies in the breakfast room were very kind and helpful.

CONS The facility was really dated and run down. Lighting was very dim in the halls (not all the sconces worked). The carpets were old and stained and the shower head didn’t work well. The front doors to the residence building were open to the public from 6 am to 10 pm which is a big safety concern and also odd since the rear entrance required a key card to get in. My son was very disappointed that they had signs for snacks and soft drinks but then there were no vending machine’s when he went to get a late night snack. We did not use the pool, while the water looked ok, the deck and pool area were very run down. PROS Free parking The beds were clean and comfortable. The room had a TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker with tea and coffee, a window AC unit and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower in a wall dispenser. They also had laundry machines but you need to bring your own detergent (can’t buy onsite). The location to Peaks Wharf and downtown was great and staff were very helpful and kind. I was pleasantly surprised that they served fresh made Belgian waffles with the continental breakfast. We stayed here for 3 nights. Overall our stay was pleasant but it really needs an update to make people feel comfortable. They are currently renovating the main building, but not the residence building and based on previous reviews I read, it seems they have been renovating for a while. I would return after the renovations are complete.

Deceiving advertising $340 per night way too much

Breakfast was average. Queen bed was a very cheap mattress with too thick and hard pillows. Nothing premium. Price was too high. Place was totally gutted on some floors for renovations. Took 10 minutes to get hot water and no pressure. Lobby smelled like weed at times.
