The place was very clean and versatile. Great location and felt safe. Property management service was excellent. Although offered for up to 13 people, I think it is not for more than 9. We were 10 (6 children) and one had to sleep on a sofa (that was not a sofa bed).
Pics didnât really line up with the place, but thatâs okay. Area was pretty safe, easy to drive around. Hard to get ahold of owners at times, but besides that, it was a good time.
This was the perfect spot for our family's getaway. We love going to chinatown and it was ready to get to chinatown with walking distance. Definitely recommend!
Great location and a good price. Easy short walk to many locations, and 2 blocks from the Red Line. Owners were quick to respond, and were very helpful.
This isn't a luxury property but it's great value for the price. So convenient to have a FREE parking spot in the lot right outside the building. Location was good, close to downtown and just a few blocks from restaurants and public transportation. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. There's a bit of traffic / train noise but not enough to bother us. Overall,we were very happy with our stay!
This was a great spot to stay in for our Chicago trip. The host made it so easy, we had everything that we needed and then some. Parking spot, coffee, laundry detergent, extra mattresses if the kids decided they wanted to sleep in another room, everything was provided for us. The condo is close to a train stop, and thereâs a gate in the parking lot that went right to a nice little park. We had two vehicles and part of the lot was Spot Hero parking so we were able to park both nearby.
Communication with property owner was great. The apartment building is off a pretty busy street, and just a few blocks from the heart of Chinatown. (Great view of the Chicago skyline!) The listing states "new condo in the heart of Chicago Chinatown." This is absolutely NOT a new condo - maybe newly renovated unit inside a quite old building. The entrance to the building is not obvious. The inside of the apartment was cute. The pictures of the furnishings in the listing didn't match what was actually there. (Listing showed 2 futons in the living room, but there was just a sofa and 2 chairs.
Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen are quite cozy. Good for 1 person. Really tight if you're doubling up. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Pillows are very firm. Linens were nice and soft. Everything was clean.
Listing stated fully equipped and stocked kitchen. If you plan on cooking while staying here, be prepared to get creative. There was one tiny (maybe 8 inch) pan, and a few pots. 4 glasses in total - 3 tall, and 1 short. No wine glasses. (Although a bunch of small coffee mugs.) One small (no sharp) knife. No tongs. Keurig coffee maker, with several coffee pods. However, only 3 pods (total) of regular coffee. The rest were decaf. There were four of us for 4 nights.... No icemaker or ice trays in the freezer. Plan to bring a bag of ice.
All in all it was fine for our purposes.
We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was clean, well stocked, and was perfect for the four of us. The location was excellent. We had to communicate with the owner and John responded quickly and resolved our parking issue quickly. We are definitely staying again on our next trip to Chicago. Location, safe to walk around the neighborhood, close to red line, free parking, and close to all the major attractions in Chicago. 5 Stars all the way!
The condo was nice and helped us sleep 8 for a multi-day conference located at McCormick Place. The distance was walkable, and Uber can pick up right outside the door in the case of inclement weather. There was more than enough space for us and the kitchen was in great shape. Would book again!
To note: the closest L-line station (Cermak-Chinatown) did not have a ticket kiosk during our stay- plan ahead!
Six of us came to Chicago for a 60th and 50th birthday celebration. The property was perfect for us. It was a short walk to the L-red line to go downtown. One night we even got a Lyft from downtown to the condo for $27. The neighborhood was safe. I love that the condo had shampoo and conditioner and body wash, k cups and everything we needed in the kitchen. We did have trouble with the code on day one to check in but they responded immediately and got us set up. Highly recommend!!!
Stayed here for the NASCAR street race. May seem a little sketchy as you drive in, but everyone was friendly, the building and apartment were quiet. You have a fantastic view of the Chicago skyline! Place was very clean and neat. I will say it would be more accurate to say it sleeps 8-10 people max. There are 3 full bedrooms and 2 full baths. Having laundry in the unit was great. No trouble having DoorDash find us. Would definitely stay here again.
Location is 2 blocks from the Redline, and 2 blocks from a nice grocery store. Very convenient. Very clean and tidy. Just as pictured. Had basic necessities and extras. Fantastic communication with the hosts! Answered all my many questions in a timely manner and were accommodating with luggage storage on day of check out. I would highly recommend this vrbo.
Great location near Chinatown red line station. We took the L all week seamlessly to all our events. Everything in the room was as advertised. Clean. Safe. Fabulous location. We had great access to all that this great city has to offer.
This was perfect for our stay in Chicago. The condo was very clean and nicely stocked with the basics. We especially loved that we were so close to the Chinatown water taxi.
The bedrooms were small. The neighborhood was interesting. We were close to the Red line which ran all night long. We had fantastic view of the Chicago skyline. I would stay there again.
Excellent place to explore the city with the family
We spent a long weekend in Chicago with our three young kids. This place was the perfect fit for us. The rental was extremely clean ad uncluttered. The beds were comfortable and rooms were good size. Two full bathrooms is hard to beat with a family our size. When we realized the wifi wasn't working on arrival, and the owner promptly fixed it that same day.
Aside from being close to Chinatown, it's also located next to a park with a playground, the Green and Red Line Cermak station, and offers a very convenient parking spot.
This is one VRBO listing where every detail in the listing is as promised. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
