Quick 15 minute walk from the Metro. At the airport, I purchased a 72 hour unlimited rides on the train/bus for 72 hours. Very safe, walkable neighborhood. My room was quiet, and reminded me of when I lived in the dorms in college, on a weekend when everyone went home. The window AC and ceiling fan were great. The room was 2 doors down from the women's rest room, where there were four toilet stalls, and 4 individual shower stalls with a sliding lock. It is not luxurious, nor was I expecting it to be. The shared TV lounge, kitchen area were great. The kitchen has cubbies for guests to store their food and use the kitchen. Breakfast included: waffles, toast, 4 kinds of cereal, oatmeal, yogurt. I got my money's worth, and it allowed me to stay an extra day to enjoy Chicago. It was a 15 minute walk to the zoo (free admission). While downtown, I enjoyed the Chicago Art Institute, and Millennium Park is just down the block. The "Bean" was worth it. Also went to Oak Street Beach, clean, and beautiful. Only two cons: the water pressure in the shower was very poor. The main entry is not ADA friendly, I didn't ask them if they had an elevator or ramp through another entrance. I just walked up the uneven steps slowly. Overall, it was excellent and I am coming back with my daughters for a girls' trip.

Nice hostel!

Love it! Good area in Lincoln park with a bunch of places to eat. Red line near by that took us downtown. Room was clean and spacious. We got a private room. It was definitely worth it!

I absolutely loved this hostel it was nicer than expected. The location is convenient. I only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay again. A morning walk to the zoo was nice and there’s a lot of restaurants walking distance.

Stay was fine. Bathroom was dirty when I arrived. My room key kept getting deactivated strangely. Beds were not very sturdy or comfortable. I wouldn’t stay here again but glad I tried.

Makes me sad that I will leave a positive review for a location that won't be open in another month, per their website. But honestly, the only things that were lacking to us was the elevator is tiny and takes a lifetime to use. And then bed sheet had a stain on it, we just slept on top of the blanket. Not a big deal.

First stay, bad experience!

Had it not been for their Supervisor who gave me a half refund then I would have rated this a 1 star for the front desk man Brian who messed up my booked room for 4 days then moved my name to another room without confirming with me first that he had moved me ( the old key still worked on my original room but he already registered another person there while I’m still occupying that room.. Kinda like double booking if compared to an airline booking. He had an attitude in the beginning, too while I was asking him questions but talk about how I hauled all of my belongings from the first floor to the third floor without proper notification! I felt like I was a ping pong ball and of course I was livid! Thank you for their Saturday Supervisor ( forgot your name, sorry) because he straightened it out without making me feel like it was my fault ( for which that front desk lady did on Wednesday afternoon, she made me wait in the front while I finally ended taking that room with the rickety bed on the third floor they assigned to me without prior notice! ) WILL NEVER BOOK THEIR AGAIN ( I know they are closing in July)!

Really great location. Accessible by bus and Red Line. On a quiet, beautiful street. Close to lots of restaurants too. Room was small but good for the price. Really quiet- didn't notice noise from other guests at all. The included breakfast was nice to have as well.
