There was someone next to us in the hotel that had a huge dog was not a service dog and it just barked all night. Every time I came out of our room the key would somehow demagnetize. I was in Chicago for a funeral and this was super annoying to where I broke down. This was definitely I needed stress!

This hotel felt like vacation

My family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) had a great time at the hotel. The team members were friendly, the breakfast was great (you had me at waffle maker), and the outdoor pool felt like vacation - just watch out for the 'Karens' who take lounge chairs AND a table with an umbrella, even when someone is looking for a spot to sit.

The staff was phenomenal. I give this a high rating because of the staff. This hotel is old and it shows. We had to get new cards 3 times because it kept locking us out of our room and I saw others doing the same. The first room we were put in smelled and they moved us. I saw them talking and putting an air freshener in another room that smelled. That said, the staff is great, the area is safe, shopping nearby but not set up for walking. This is our second time staying at this location. If we go back to this area, the only thing that will cause us to go here is staff and the pool.

Cheap and it showed

The experience was disappointing. The pool was unavailable due to maintenance. The keys to the room didn't work properly. Had to get 5 sets of keys before one worked for a five day stay. Had a reservation with a pet. Weren't checked in properly so were made to change rooms on our 2nd day. The room was tiny for 2 people and a king bed. The toilets were kid size. Coffee was cold. The grounds on the backside of the hotel were unkept. On the brightside, breakfast was good. It was economically priced and location was good.
