From the moment we walked in the security was very friendly and helpful the first front desk attendant was amazing her name was Jasmine she was incredibly sweet helped us the best she could when we came back to do an early check-in the second person who helped us was incredibly rude service was terrible she basically told us we were liars, didn't explain all my charges just told me to sign when I asked for an explanation she seemed bothered by it overall the experience was great minus that second front desk attendant unfortunately I did not get her name because when I asked she walked off.. Bed was comfortable view was amazing. .

Canadian guests here. My husband and I stayed here as we were attending a Chicago Bears football game. We took the train to avoid costly parking, and we walked from the train station. This hotel is within walking distance to many attractions and has many restaurants and shops also within walking distance. We walked to Soldier Field. The hotel is old but has had some updates to the guest rooms. The hotel could definitely use some updates to the hallway carpets, the halls smell musty. Guest room bathrooms could also use some love, the bathtub in our room had a significant crack in the tub floor, that was attempted to be patched, but was still cracked. I was afraid it was going to break right through when showering. I’m confident it must be leaking water into the unit below. I’d suggest just tearing the tub out and having a tiled walk-in shower. Shower water pressure was not good. We stayed in a king room. The AC unit could also use updating or cleaning, it was very stale smelling so we shut it off completely. The bathroom also didn’t have an exhaust fan, which is most likely contributing to the musty smell in the room, and there was visible black mold on the ceiling in the shower. Staff was very friendly. The lobby was very cool. Elevator doors were also cool. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We will absolutely stay here again, but further updates are needed. We booked months in advanced so got a good rate. I wouldn’t pay any more than what we payed due to the updates needed.

We immediately saw that the king bed in Room 1103 lacked a bedside table and reading light on one side. This is a basic room requirement and should be remedied. We called and had a technician respond with a lamp (and a new functional safe) only to find there was not a power outlet and apparently no extension cord available. My wife spent a week unable to read in bed each night. We had an issue with the very loud and horrible music broadcast in the lobby. Folks in our group wanted to go to the lobby in the early morning to read while their spouses slept. It was impossible with the loud music, and they were forced to walk to the near-by 24/7 Dunkin Donuts for some quiet. With an early flight home, we checked out at 4:30 AM and the raucous and loud, inappropriate music was truly bad. We asked the nice young night clerk, "Who picks out this music and volume level?" He replied, "Not Us". Please consider playing soft, classical music in your lobby. It would be gladly accepted by all your visitors. The housekeeping staff is excellent.

It wasn’t a free breakfast. The buffet (only option) had watered down eggs, old bacon, and warm coffee. $71.00 for two people was over double what it was worth. I’ll not return to this hotel in the future.

The property is in a great location. Easy access to the light rail/subway and walking distance to the park, shopping and great restaurants. The room itself was clean however, compared to the photos provided the room we stayed in was extremely outdated. It was not what we were expecting based on the nice photos of rooms. Had a real example of a potential room been provided, we may have booked elsewhere. The hotel does have “classic charm” but the room itself lacked this charm.
