DO NOT LET THE OVERALL RATING FOOL YOU. Look at the most recent reviews!We stayed here last weekend and the place was filthy. There was a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fan, visible dirt and a PRESS ON NAIL on the windowsills, and a plate of moldy food in the oven!When trying to contact the owner about getting our 90 cleaning fee back, we got no response. I even opened a claim with VRBO and they stayed any refun would have to come from him so I texted him and again, no answer.Do not stay here.

Lovely older apartment with hard wood floors and high ceilings! However, lobby door was very old and difficult to unlock - had to wiggle the key for quite awhile to get it to catch. Also would be helpful to label the 4 keys provided as there was one for the main door, one for the basement laundry facilities, and one for the apartment itself - never found out what the 4th key was for. Kitchen was fully equipped and easy for cooking meals. All in it was a very nice stay and the owner was very helpful when needed.

My overall impression: a promising work in progress, with glitches pretty easy to rectify.No problems witth check-in.Kitchen was fine for us, as we only made coffee. The Keurig worked fine for the only 8 K-cups supplied. All the dozens of spare pods in the cabinet were the smaller size for Nespresso machines and not usable in the Keurig.

Chicago 5day trip

This charming apartment was perfect for the 4 of us. It is a very short walk to the Green CTA train station. It was a quick 25-30 minute train ride to downtown Chicago. The CTA ticket was 5 dollars a day and lets you ride all the trains and buses. There is a wonderful breakfast spot across from the train station. It is a quiet, clean, safe neighborhood. Moe was very quick to answer any questions. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed.

Cozy spot in great location

This place was perfect for a quick weekend visit. The host clearly communicated check in and check out instructions. The neighborhood was very eclectic and charming. We wish we could have stayed longer.

quaint little Chicago place

The place was very cute and easy to find. The door is very hefty, so I felt secure. My only concern was the amount of dust on the ceiling fans. We had someone staying with us with asthma(the host did not know this, not their fault), so we could not circulate air using the fans.

Cleanliness

This experience was not pleasant. The host would not give me any check in details till an hour before i arrived. I travelled 5 hours for a wedding and was trying to get checked in a few minutes early to get to the wedding on time and to order an uber. As I was traveling the host was not answer my text or I didn’t have great service. Either way I wanted to know ahead of time. When I arrived the place looked great till I entered the bathroom. The rugs were filthy there was a mesh plug bath sponge hanging in the shower and hair and dirt around the edge of the bathtub. No way I was taking a shower without cleaning it first. Then onto the kitchen. The fridge was full of old groceries that I would not use so I don’t know why they are left there and I wasn’t about to clean the fridge to use that either. The back door was unlocked so and I didn’t notice that untill I returned from my wedding, thank God no one was in there when we returned. The apartment was spacious and cute, beds very comfortable and was a nice neighborhood.

We had Ok’ish stay @this apartment .Very disappointed how dirty this apartment were,as i checked in first one before my other two friends arrived from Bahrain and Spain,as soon as i walked in there was dust just everywhere,under and around bed so i thought i quickly will take vacuum cleaner n hover but it was blocked so i couldn’t hover.Bathroom bath was blocked,water just wouldn’t go n all bathroom floor was just so dirty,so i cleaned with wet wipes and they were black afterwards so that how clean that flooring were(just disgusting) and owner said he had Cleaning Crew in before we checked in,really? There was no any cleaning products,all were empty bottles,we couldn’t even wash our dishes in his advert its stated all has been provided .We stayed for 7days and there was only 1set off keys so that’s was hard work,as i don’t wanted gwt home too late just incase my friends fall sleep etc

Had A Great Time !!

My Sister and I stayed here while we were in the city for a concert and it was great! It looks just like the pictures , very quiet area. There is a small like shopping center and food all very walkable. We enjoyed our stay!

Hello I stayed here for 2night with my friends for birthday trip. I was highly disappointed I communicate with the host telling them the tub was not draining. when we arrived it was already dirty water in the tub that was not draining. Also we found bugs in the house

Loved the place, felt like home!!!

Wonderful place. Stayed four nights and went in and out to visit family in Oak Park and nearby neighborhoods. Everything you will need when looking for a place to stay. Clean, roomy, comfy and had everything we needed!Consider staying here!

Messenger system is flawed

The property and the stay were great. VRBO uses a messenger system to communicate with the property owner. If you are not using the app, just the website, you don't get notifications of any communication. I had to go looking around on the website for the method of contacting the owner before I found the messenger function. This isn't the owners problem.

great location but had issues with parking

The apartment was clean and comfortable, and had pretty much all the listed amenities too. There is a green line station and restaurants a short walk away which was very convenient. However, we got expensive parking tickets even though we followed the host's directions for parking. We were not able to get an explanation for why this happened and ended up parking at the parking garage down the street instead.

Great location.

I was mostly confused about how to go about checking in so i had to call. We were told we would get an email soon telling us everything we needed to know which is fine, but we didnt know that till almost check in time. A minor inconvenience but not serious. Loved the area!
