Everything was satisfactory except for the elevator service. The elevators were down so they had to use manual and it took over 30 minutes to get down from the upper level floors to the lobby. Very annoying. Until the elevators are fixed, I would not suggest staying there

We asked for a room with a view. We were given a very small room (king bed) overlooking an alley. No hair dryer, no place to set luggage, no ice tub, only 1 working elevator (our group had 19 people). The staff was very accommodating since our Amtrak train (which was to arrive at 430 pm arrived at 330 am the next morning. We called to hold for “late arrival” which they did. Staff was pleasant and helpful to our group of weary travelers. I will be contacting the hotel directly with regards to these issues.

Just okay

The best way to describe this hotel—decent. The location was amazing! The guy at the front desk was very kind and helpful. However, the room was just okay. There was hair that didn’t belong to my partner or I in the bathroom. There was dust EVERYWHERE. The room could use a good deep cleaning, a carpet clean, and a layer of paint. There were scuff marks/stains all over the walls. The room was TINY. The bathroom was TINY. There was only one working elevator, so the waits were often long and the elevator was always packed to capacity. We also booked for the River Hotel but we actually stayed at Club Quarters. But for a last minute stay in the heart of the city, it was fine for a single night. Everything was within walking distance which we loved, but next time we will spend the extra money and stay at London House or Royal Sonesta next door.

Thought we’d try this place instead of the larger hotel chains nearby. The staff is friendly, helpful, and overall awesome. They hold this place together because biggest issue is the property is old and the rooms needs renovation badly. One of the only two elevators were broken, the AC needed servicing during our stay, the room was tiny and dingy (carpet burn, old features, torn shades). Also I reserved a King bed and they just pushed two twins together… not a fan of that maneuver. The location was great other than constant protestors shouting into bull horns about their choice causes all around the block (I wish the hotel could do more about moving them further away from the grounds). If you can stay at this place at the right rate, it’s worth it. Otherwise it is deceptively dingy and you shouldn’t pay top dollar rates for these rooms with so many other legitimately great options nearby.

This is my go to hotel in the city. I went stay any place else. Even for an additional fee you can get breakfast included. I have stayed in both a reg room n a kitchenette thick it doesn't have a full kitchen or days have a microwave n a small fridge. Room is very nice
