Great location! Perfect for a family of four ,especially teenagers. We had the best time in Chicago. Apartment is walking distance to Soilder Field, Grant Park, the Bean, lots of great restaurants close. Target and Trader Joe's both really close as well. Would definitely stay here again.
This condo is right on Michigan Ave across from Grant Park & the views are amazing! We had perfect views of the fireworks. Thereâs parking attached to the building which you will need to reserve & pay for. We received detailed pictures of what to look for when checking in. It was very helpful. The pictures online are exact. We needed 2 king size beds & the rooms were perfect. The VBRO owners are always happy to help with any questions & they respond quickly & are a pleasure to work with.
Our stay was terrific nicely situated close to the Metro stations super clean beds were comfortable including the pull out sofa bed. Owner was quick to respond and I suggest using spot angels for parking if you do not park in the garage next to the unit
Great Views of Skyline, Lake, Sailboats, Grant Park etc etc
We had a great time with great views in the South Loop. Very convenient location for us with great bus and EL access plus Grant Park and the views right there plus lots of clubs and restaurants that we really like. Thanks!
The property is clean, quiet, and comfortable, with great views of Lake Michigan! We didnât use the kitchen for lunch or dinner, but it was nice to have for breakfast, and the provided coffee was a pleasant bonus! The location is an easy walk to the museum campus and the Willis Tower. If we were going any further, Ubers were plentiful. One night we walked to AO Hawaiian Hideout, which was a fun Asian restaurant nearby, check it out if you stay here!
We stayed for a week for spring break. Very easy walking access to Field museum and Shedd Aquarium. The views are amazing. Some tips:1) There is a parking garage connected to the building (you do not have to go outside to access the building from the parking garage once you have your key fob). The garage is operated by LAZ Parking (download the app). Be aware- you cannot buy a pass for the whole week unless you are not planning on leaving the garage- there is a "single in and out policy". I bought a pass for the whole week and it was only valid for less than 24 hrs because I left the garage the next day and couldn't reenter- they did not give me a partial refund.2) You need to hold the key fob on the entry points for about 4 seconds for it to work.3) As of our stay, they did not have pans for the oven...so bring some foil if you want to reheat items in the oven.4) The shower tubs get super slippery when wet, two of our family members fell- so be careful when stepping in!Overall, we had a great stay. Our son is in a wheelchair and everything was very accessible!
The property was exactly as described. Itâs in a great location close to the museum campus. Bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and excellent closet space. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. it was perfect for our trip and we would consider staying again.
Location is everything and this apartment doesn't disappoint. From the awesome view of Navy Pier fireworks to the easy local transit, and unlimited food and entertainment options. You really don't have to go far to enjoy this wonderful city. The apartment is really comfortable and cozy and has everything you need. The hosts were awesome and always available. I will definitely be back. :)
Iâm originally from Chicago. I knew the area was nice, but we were genuinely blown away how beautiful the view is from this property. We found ourselves standing in front of the windows, looking outwards for long periods of time. Highly recommend.
Brought my daughter and her boyfriend to Chicago for a few days to celebrate graduating HS. Unit is well located, nicely decorated, and above all, CLEAN! Beds were comfy (even the sofa bed) and all linens and towels were provided.
Getting there from Midway airport was a single train on the CTA Orange Line and a short walk from Roosevelt Station.
Would definitely stay here again - our only regret was that our trip was so short!
We really liked this location. Easy to walk to museums, restaurants, parks, bus stop and subway stop. Easy to get to Eleven City Diner, one of our favorite breakfast spots.
Also enjoyed the view of Lake Michigan from our living room. Very happy with our stay.
Communication with host and easy. The location of the condo is great! Near solder field, the âelâ, field museum, the lake. Great views of navy pier and the lake. The building is starting to show its age but the security and the doorman help make up for that. I would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location, especially with a younger child to be able to walk to all the museums. Beautiful view. Surprisingly quiet apartment. Streets are a bit loud if you go to sleep early, which is expected, but if you turn on the a/c it helps drown it out until it quiets down a bit later. Super close to all trains which was ideal for us. We walked down the strip and also to chinatown and it was a beautiful. Apartment people were super friendly. Conveniently close to trader joes across the street if you dont want to eat out all the time like us. Highly recommend this place.
Everything was great! Check in process, staff at the building were helpful! Location is great to get around! Wish we were there during the summer! Beautiful view of the lake as well!
Location was convenient to public transportation and museums, check in and out was super easy, beds so comfy. Our family of 4 would stay here again- loved having more room than just 1 hotel room!
Location was perfect, bus stops to everywhere right outside door. Condo was very clean and view was spectacular! Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful! Absolutely loved it!
Host is not helpful AT ALL! Asked for a contact number in case of emergency, refused to give it. Instead said to msg thru vrbo. In emergency a chat option thru messenger is not helpful!
The furniture is old and worn out, felt like back in a college dorm.
The front desk people are of zero help.
There is only 1 key so if you are there with a group itâs hard to strike out on your own or if you do you have to coordinate with the entire party otherwise you may be locked out.
Location was great. Walking distance to several museums and parks.
Parking was ok, the parking garage was always full but there is another one at SKY55 two blocks away.
Cleanliness was so-so. Carpets has several large stains. Some stains on the walls. Bath/showers have old rusty hardware. There was hair in one of the beds though the host reports they change sheets between guests.
Overall not great. If youâre going to spend this kind of money go to a hotel where itâs clean, friendly, and available to help you if needed.
We were very pleased with this property for our 4-day stay in Chicago. The check-in process was easy as the owners provided us with detailed/step-by-step instructions as to how to enter the secure building, retrieve the keys, and enter the unit. The unit itself was inviting, well stocked and clean. The view is breathtaking from all windows! Communication with the owners during our stay was always prompt and thorough. We had no problems with internet/cable/HVAC or water. The building itself felt safe, was quiet and the elevators were quick. The rooftop lounge/grill area was wonderful with the gas fireplaces on a cool night. We loved the convenience to shopping, restaurants and museums. We walked in the daytime and had short Uber rides at night. Was just a short walk to several grocery and liquor stores for necessities. Would definitely recommend this property for a small group or family and would stay again in the future.
