Stayed here 1 night prior to Cubs game. Nice hotel. it was in the middle of renovations but did not disrupt us (nice to see hotels being updated). Local area is great with plenty of dining options. Room was nice, bathroom had been updated. Staff very friendly. Good selection of breakfast items. Would stay again.

We stay at this hotel often & have always been satisfied with the room. This time we were in the north wing in Rm 401. The mattress was awful, (lumpy & sagging), A/C not working, bathtub drain clogged. We will be sure to avoid rm 401 in future!

Just Ok

Our stay was ok overall but nothing special. You could tell that the lobby and hallways were recently renovated and looked nice but the rooms were not updated and smelled musty. Not to mentioned that they were tiny. My husband and I got a king bed and were tripping over each other trying to get from one end of the room to the other. We stayed two nights and nobody came to clean our room in between so we had to ask for extra towels. Also if you are sensitive to smells, beware of the lobby as the scent is SO strong. Overall not a bad place to stay but could use some improvements.

Cons 1. It was quite uncomfortable there was a crowd of people daily inside the lobby area. I'm not sure why everyone was in the but I'm assuming due to construction taking place maybe not everyone has a place to go. Some people might not be bothered by it, but I felt like it was creating a bit of a disturbance with everyone in there and they all looked like they were workers. 2. Our room AC was not working very well at all. 3. Ugly carpet design in the room. 4. Need more outlet options to use for charging devices etc next to both sides of the bed. 5. Personal room coffee maker was broken. Missing drawer too insert the coffee grains. Pros 1. Very clean room and nicely decorated when arriving 2. Good lighting in bathroom 3. A good amount of mirrors 4. Good amount of places to hang things in the room and bathroom. 5. Good blackout curtains 6. Good placement of the bed, helps keep light from hallway shining in our eyes when sleeping at night. 7. Good walking trails nearby and many stores.
