We had a bad experience right from the start, before even getting inside the unit. Listing reflects "dedicated driveway parking", but once we booked, we were told it was recommended that we not park there because other guests may block us in. When we arrived, there signs said no street parking in daytime until 3:00 pm so the only parking we could find for our late night arrival was a block away. Entry code did not work & required a call to property manager to reset. Once inside, it was 59 degrees with the heat pump blowing very cold air. We tried to turn it off or change to warm air, but remote did not work and there was no manual control on the unit. We called the property manager, who attempted to help us by asking us to send a photo of the remote control. We got it to work for about 5 minutes and start blowing warm air, but it then reverted to ice cold air. We were in shorts and t-shirts, and had packed for warm weather, so we had no warm clothes. Room temp continued to drop and we couldn't stop it. When we tried to reach the person at the phone number provided again, a recording said no one was available. The next day, VRBO messaged that this was due to the shift change at 11:00 p.m. It was freezing (59 degrees) in the room, so we had no choice but to leave and try to find a hotel. Our requests for a refund (4-day stay 559) were denied. VRBO did refund our 44 fee. Host declined and stopped responding to me.
