This was the perfect cottage for our needs. Close enough to the grouse woods and far enough away from towns. Although we missed “peak fall colours”, the golden finale was stunning. Very cozy and we absolutely loved the wood stove. It made the perfect atmosphere for watching the hockey game on tv. Will definitely be back next fall!

Beautiful spot. Had a great bunch of days with our family here. The place was exactly as we expected it, no surpises or letdowns. We had great weather so we could do lots of swimming and fishing. The water level at the end of the dock was 2 or 3 feet deep which made us feel comfortable that our kids could all touch and not have to worry about one getting hurt. It was a cottage, it was cozy and rustic. It has everything you would need for a comfortable cottage vacation without the bells and whistles. Hope to be back again one day. The woodstove makes me wonder about trying a winter holiday as well. Thanks for the memories.

Great Spot to Relax and Explore

Justin and Vanessa’s property and cottage is amazing. They have a great, quiet location and they had an extremely cozy cabin and bunkie setup. We massively enjoyed our stay. They were responsive and communicative. They only “fault” I may have is that, alrhough the listing stated there was a canoe available, we were not able to use it as it was locked away for the season. We ended up having to bring our own canoe and used it a lot, but having to load it was not ideal. However, overall The stay was amazing, and I would absolutely recommend the property over and over again. What a great spot!

Great stay!

We had an amazing time on our hunting trip and this cottage was one of the reasons why. Cozying up beside the wood stove after a long day of walking was just what my husband and I needed! We hope to be back again next year

Had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Only downfall was a rotted plank on the deck that almost caused a fall and not the greatest accessibility to the dock. otherwise it would have been perfect!

Beautiful Honeymoon Getaway

Absolutely beautiful stay! Incredible views from the cottage/dock. We came for a weekend honeymoon to come up from Friday to Tuesday, we did get double booked the Friday but the hosts fully accommodated our stay for 4 extra nights and let us stay from Saturday to Friday. They were quick at responding and gave us plenty of notice. It was so relaxing and just what we needed after wedding planning! We loved using the woodstove on chilly nights. The sunsets were incredible. We will definitely be coming back in the future! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Lovely lake but


My friend and I spent two nights at this cottage. The lake is peaceful and we had great weather. The cottage itself was not what I expected. I would not recommend this cottage for anyone with mobility issues, small children or seniors. The stairs to the two bedrooms are steep and open (other than a hand rail). The bedrooms are decent but the one with two beds has dormers over the beds (watch your head!). The bathroom is on the main level. I live rurally so I have a well and septic. The cottage well water smelled horrible. It has a strong metal odour which sticks to your skin, so bring lots of bottled water to wash up, brush your teeth, cook with and then lug all of your recyclables home. While the lake is beautiful and there is a nice dock, getting to the dock can be a challenge. The few ‘steps’ are uneven and can be hard to negotiate for those with even minor mobility issues. In general, it was not a horrible stay but certainly not what I was expecting. I was hoping the inconvenience of bringing all bedding, bath and kitchen linens, toilet paper, paper towels, etc
would be outweighed by the cottage and lake, but it was not. This is just my recent experience.

Awesome location, quaint cabin

We absolutely loved the location of the cabin and the amenities- having the paddle board and canoe was a highlight. We loved being right on the lake and even though there are neighbors we liked the seclusion of it. The communication with host was easy and always had a quick response. Only cons- this place needs a good deep cleaning, there isn’t any a/c- which was doable since you can open windows and get breeze off lake but the windows were really dirty too. They do have several fans available to use as well. Overall I would stay here.

Our Wasi Lake Stay

This is a very special place in that the cottage is very spacious inside and has a huge deck and dock and really stunning and serene views of the lake. Its very quiet and peaceful and you can't hear a sound at night. We brought two dogs as we invited our friend and they were in dog heaven jumping off the dock into the water fetching the ball. The beds are very comfortable and there is another stunning view of the lake from the master bedroom . When an issue arose the owners were very communicative and accessible. The kitchen and washroom are little rustic and could use an upgrade but certainly not a deal breaker. The grounds had some detritus from the former renters that could have used some cleaning up but again we did it and not a deal breaker. There are some nearby public beaches that were fun to visit also. We would definitely come back. Best Adrienne Mitchell
