Perfect hotel in a charming village

The hotel could not have been more charming and yet with all the modern conveniences and decor. The restaurant was great for dinner and the breakfast was a pleasant surprise in that it went beyond the typical continental fare. Don’t miss the fresh orange juice machine!

A happy little accident!

I wasn't orignally planning to stay in Chiusa, but it was certainly a welcome accident. The staff was very kind, and the restaurant was super convenient after a few hours on the road and checking in. The breakfast bar was extensive and the late night bar/wine offerings were also superb!

I don't think that many Americans get to Chiusa, our Italian is not great and I know a little German, but we felt a little uncomfortable at times, mainly during dinner, otherwise, the place is amazing and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever seen.

The hotel was located just beside a river in Chiusa, close to the Dolomite National Park with some of the most famous mountains in Europe. It was a suitable site for our stopover to prepare for exploring the mountain areas and the best view from Santa Magdalena. Although the reception area was quite small we had a friendly welcome from the staff. By mistake they had cancelled two of our four rooms under reservation. However, the manager fully solved our worries when he upgraded four of our guests to another nearby 4-star hotel. There were sufficient free parking in a parking lot near the hotel. The rooms were well furnished, decorated and spacious for our comfortable stay. We had included breakfast buffet in our reservation, but there were only limited choice of food in a small restaurant downstairs next morning. Nevertheless, we appreciated the very good hotel service in helping us to carry our heavy luggage upstairs through narrow stairs.

Every comfort plus character! Recommended!

Great updated and comfortable small hotel conveniently located only 60m from a the large public car park, a very attractive pedestrianised old area of the alpine village. We only stayed one night but hiked to the hilltop convent and explored the old village. There is far more to see and do. The restaurant in the hotel is very good and staff helpful and friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The room we stayed was spacious and having a good view to moutain from a eindow. This Walther von der Vogelweide is located in very nice old town.

Happy with our stay

Enjoyed our stay here. I had to book two separate rooms for the family of 4. Rooms are very clean. The breakfast is outstanding. If you are coming by car (like we did) follow the instructions from the hotel's website how to get to the parking lot. A lot of streets are open to pedestrians only. We ate dinner at the hotel once and the food was great. They make a really good pizza. From the parking lot it took us 30 min to get to the cablecar in Alpe di Siusi to go to Dolomites.

Very, very nice hotel with a very good restaurant.

This is a charming, well kept hotel in an beautiful location. The restaurant is very good, both for dinner and breakfast. The hotel was quite comfortable and we would be happy to stay there again.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön und individuell auf hohem Niveau eingerichtet. Besonders die sehr hochwertigen original Kunstwerke im ganzen Haus fand ich sehr positiv. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, das Frühstücksbuffet ist großartig und umfangreich, sehr schöne Zimmer, großes Bad. Alles ist sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet.
