Such a charming house the downstairs still had lots of character and is spacious and clean. The kitchen is modern with well equipped. Lovely utility room with enough room to accommodate us all easily. The bedrooms were all very spacious and bathrooms again modern and well equipped. The only criticism is the upstairs bedroom furnishings the beds are dated and very out of character for the property these are very low faux leather beds with bedding that is synthetic and not very nice. The bedside tables didnât fit next to the bed in the space so only one side had one and the other table was across the room there were no table lamps either. A little thought into furnishing the bedrooms with good beddings and furniture more in keeping with the property would make all the differences. The property is in in a lovely residential neighbourhood and was quiet with easy parking outside on the road.
We enjoyed our stay at this house, with its charming old bones but modern refurbishment. Things looked very much like the listing. One thing we overlooked prior to booking was the height of the king beds in two of the bedrooms - they are rather close to the floor. This might be an issue for those who have trouble getting down/up from the floor. We loved the location, being just a short drive to downtown/Newport.
We had a fabulous stay at this older but clean home that suited our needs for our daughter's wedding weekend. The owner was responsive, the location was perfect and the house had many amenities that made us comfortable.
I absolutely love the updated home! It has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the kitchen is simply amazing. Itâs also very conveniently located to all the city attractions. The host was very responsive and helpful.
Overall, the home is very nice with lots of space to hang out if youâre with a group. The kids liked having their own bunk room and there are plenty of bathrooms. The main bedroom beds are very low to the ground if thatâs an issue for mobility. Neighborhood was quiet and nice.
This house has LOTS of room! It is clean & quiet & had almost everything we needed. The addition of a toaster would be appreciated. Also, the dining room table is way too small for a house this size. There were enough bath towels but not enough washcloths. There were no hand towels or kitchen towels. The reason I did not rate this property with five stars is because of the alarm that beeps three times every time an exterior door is opened. One person in our family is a "night owl" and I was woken up multiple times every night by the door alarm beeping every time that person went outside and back in.
This property is nicely updated, very well located home in a quiet neighborhood. We were comfortable and enjoyed the common areas (kitchen and TV watching area) however there is no spacious outdoor deck or patio or furniture as indicated - just a front porch with 2 chairs. The property was pretty clean but we were surprised to find a couple trash baskets that had not been emptied from prior guest stays; the beds had a bottom sheet and a comforter but no top sheet; there were bed linens thrown on the floor of closets - no idea if they were clean or used; no wash cloths at all in the shared bathroom and only 2 wash cloths in the master bathroom; no kitchen towels, only 2 sink cloths. These are easy âfixesâ that need to be addressed.
Stayed here with 9 family members for our daughter's graduation from Xavier. The house is spacious although could benefit from additional seating options on the main floor. Just has a sofa and smaller love seat in the main living area. Only 3 stools at the counter of the kitchen, which is adjacent to the 'living room'. Additionally, the dining room only has 4 chairs around that table. Just feels as though, for a house that can sleep 9-11 people, there aren't enough seats for all of us to be in the same floor/space at the same time. For those (perhaps) confused to the bedrooms situation/setup, the master bedroom (w attached full bath), a king sized bed & a full sized bed, with another full bath available, are located on the 2nd floor of the house. The 3rd floor has the sleeper sofa office room and the 3rd full bathroom as well. The first floor has a room (with pocket doors) with a full sized bed as well as a bunk bed and along with a 1/2 bath just off the kitchen. The house has pretty good amenities although doesn't seem to have been ever truly cleaned thoroughly enough (who knows when a vacuum was last used). Even then, the beds and bathrooms seemed cleaned of late to not have concern. We didn't use much of the kitchen equipment nor laundry to comment. Decent pots/pans as well as plates/cups/bowls - but would probably need to run the dishwasher every meal for plates/utensils/etc to be plentiful for a housefull of guests and constant use.3.5 stars / 5
We had a great time staying at this Cincinnati property! It was located close to the University of Cincinnati which was helpful as we had come to visit our daughter finishing up her time in school. There was plenty of room, and the multiple bathrooms made it easy for everyone to get ready! We would consider staying there again!
Pros: neighborhood; vicinity to many things to do in Cincy; large house with many bedrooms & bathrooms - room to spread out; large kitchen with useful & clean items (but no toaster)Cons: I suppose you could park 2 cars in the driveway, but you'd have to put the garbage cans somewhere else, and your car will be straddling the sidewalk - so you will have to park on the street, there isn't "driveway parking". Downstairs bedroom has the double bed 2 bunks - not ideal if you have elderly parents, which is one of the reasons we chose this house. The sheets for all the beds pillowcases - were they even washed? None of us really knew - they were wadded up & thrown onto the shelves in the closets. The third floor sleeper sofa was stained (ew, plus the ew sheets). The two king bedrooms upstairs have mattresses practically on the floor - hard to get out of (bad for elderly parents)! The place just needs a giant deep clean and it would be a solid 4-5 stars.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is centrally located, and was clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We will definitely stay here again if we decide to revisit the area.
Bedroom 1 not a King bed-it was a full and bunk beds. The king beds were upstairs with both showers. The one king bed was only 14 inches off the ground - you had to crawl in/out. There was 5 of us and only 5 washcloths for the ENTIRE weekend. (Plenty of hand/bath towels though). Unable to use-driveway too short: any vehicle hangs over the sidewalk. House is clean, updated home, nice neighborhood.
Slim pickings in the Cincinnati area for 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms led us to this property. It has great potential, but was probably the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. Hair everywhere. Bathrooms were disgusting. There is no way this place has been vacuumed in many stays. Kitchen was fairly clean, but lacked usable pans and no toaster. WI-FI password didnât work. We almost bought a toaster but made due, and I cooked oatmeal in a wok. The strangest thing was the bedding. We got there late and had to try to find pillows and pillowcases. There were just piles of hopefully clean linens in the closets. I turned the pillowcases inside out just in case, and tried not to think about it. Just charge a little more and get the place cleaned between visitors.
This was a great choice for us. We were all under the same roof and we had a blast together. Was close to Xavier, where we went to a basketball game. So many neat places to go to around that location. The house was very neat & clean. And very updated. The kitchen was amazing.
So, the host was great, and the house is nice. But the was definitely room for improvement in cleanliness and supplies availability. Two examples are, there was pet hair all over the main story, and there were anky about 4 coffee cups, despite it being a house for about 10 people.
This is a gorgeous home in a terrific location (so easy to get to, and so close to so much)! Our group was primarily composed of cool old ladies whoâve known each other 50 years. We were so thrilled with the house as we all had clean comfortable sleeping spaces and lots of space. Kayla was exceptional at communication with any questions we had. Perfectly delightful experience!!
True to previous reviews. Nice urban setting for Christmas vacation.
The property is great and very charming for a big family. The three floors provided good space for our teenagers to hang out in the evening after the adults went to bed. Use of the third floor for an office space is excellent for people working remotely during their stay. The central location is convenient for most Cincinnati activities and the neighborhood is safe. The previous reviews' highlight of the cleanliness factor was consistent with our experience. The house is very nice and recently updated so it's not strikingly bad. I really noticed that the carpet needed a good shampoo when I laid down to watch the kids play video games and I ended up with cat hair on my clothes. The linens are in the closet but were unfolded and more or less just rolled up and thrown on the shelf. Overall those are small issues and the price was worth the stay, but a solid deep clean and providing a few more wash cloths and towels would raise the bar even more.
The home had a great layout for 2 families and worked really well for us. We didn't have a chance to cook in the kitchen, but it was well-equipped and had room for everyone. The third full bath is on the third floor and has sloping ceilings, so that may be a consideration if everyone in your group is tall. We'd stay again!
