We enjoyed our stay at Churn View, cosily warm for a week away in November. We had a problem with the dishwasher which the owner responded to very quickly. The location was good, with a Spar shop almost next door, a bus stop opposite for buses into the town, or the option for a 20 minute walk.
One issue for potential visitors to be aware of is the parking. There was indeed space on the road outside the cottage, but, itâs a narrow road where traffic goes too fast, and my friend and I both had our cars damaged by passing vehicles (a broken window, and wing mirror sheared off, the sorting-of which rather detracted from the holiday, and could have been avoided if weâd been advised to park elsewhere).
Sympathetic neighbours advised us that it happens all the time, itâs a well known problem, and I feel the cottage info should maybe reflect this.
