This holiday home is absolutely outstanding! It offers plenty of space, is modern, and beautifully furnished. Everything was spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped – you immediately feel at home. A true highlight is the spacious pool: perfect for relaxing, swimming, and soaking up the sun. Surrounded by stunning nature, the property also boasts breathtaking views that invite you to unwind and enjoy every moment. The quiet location, combined with the easy access to sights and shopping, makes it the perfect getaway. Erholung pur

Ein sehr schönes und gut ausgestattetes HĂ€uschen mit wunderbarem Ausblick und Ausflugs- und auch Wandermöglichkeiten in der Umgebung. Der HotTub war bei der Jahreszeit eine perfekte ErgĂ€nzung zur Urlaubserholung. Die Gastgeber Manuela und Martin waren unglaublich nett, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine tolle erholsame Woche mit vielfĂ€ltigen EindrĂŒcken. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

A wonderful holiday

A wonderful holiday in a great landscape, with awsome sunsets and lovely hosts. The only small drawback was the incorrect display on FeWo, in which the house is described as air-conditioned. Since the temperatures drop sharply at night, even in midsummer, we managed without air conditioning. We would love to come back.

We had an excellent two week stay in this beautiful house, which is accessed down a 1.5km track, and is located in the grounds of the main property but remains secluded. The view from the terrace overlooking the valley is fabulous to wake up to or to watch the sunset behind the hills in the evening and we regularly saw wild boars grazing in the field below in the early evening. On the other side of the property you can see the nearby village of Civitella d’Agliano, which is a 2 km walk and is well worth a visit. The property has been converted to a high standard, is well equipped and very comfortable. The pool area was also excellent and well maintained. We felt entirely at home during our stay and Manuella and Martin could not have been more helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit whilst not at all intruding. The area itself lies on the beautiful border of Lazio and Umbria with lots of hilltop towns and other places to visit. Orvieto is a 30 minute drive and we also had days out in Perugia and Spoletto as well as trips to closer locations like Lake Bolsena and the UNESCO listed Civita di Bagnoregio. The area itself is very rural and lacks the crowds we have encountered when staying further north into Umbria or Tuscany but a car is essential.We would thoroughly recommend La Casa Pastore at Carpinetta for those wanting a quiet escape.

Une maison merveilleuse

D’abord le paysage : au milieu d’une magnifique nature, comme dans un tableau de la Renaissance ( avec une belle piscine !). Ensuite la maison : une bergerie entiĂšrement rĂ©amĂ©nagĂ©e, Ă  la fois chaleureuse et confortable. Puis la rĂ©gion, avec des merveilles artistiques Ă  foison, presque sans touristes. Really nice!

We were staying at a beautiful house situated on top of a mountain with stunning views. The location was absolutely breathtaking, with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. We Had A Great Time!

Thank you Manuela and Martin for all your advice and assistance. We had a great time! The property itself has all the facilities and is located in beautiful surroundings. It's certainly "off the beaten track" but benefits from the very peaceful environment. We took your advice about the local attractions and made some real discoveries - there's lots to see in the area! Perhaps I should conclude by making one confession and apology; we broke one of your red wine glasses. Or rather, a sudden gust of wind literally blew the glass off of the patio table. A gem!

The house was a real gem - fantastic all around. Truly off-off the beaten track, peaceful, with all the amenities you may need. It was very clean, super comfortable and really enjoyable. We stayed for 7 nights and could have easily stayed longer. Lots of small villages to visit within less than 1 hour and Orvieto is also close. The hosts, Manuela and Martin, were superb - friendly, quick to respond to any question or request we had. In short - highly recommended

La casa di campagna su misura

La nostra Ăš stata, senza esagerare la vacanza ideale! Il luogo Ăš molto piĂč bello di come si immagini: paesaggi che sembrano usciti da un quadro del Rinascimento, casa deliziosa, comoda e arredata con gusto. La piscina, immersa nel verde Ăš tenuta in maniera impeccabile. E nei dintorni tante localitĂ  affascinanti e interessanti da visitare. Wonderful house in the countryside

We very much enjoyed the house and the beautiful surroundings. The pool is very nice and the house is well equipped - one of the best we have stayed at. The house is located quite remotely, which on the one hand means that it is very peaceful and beautiful but also that it is quite a drive to get anywhere. You can get to e.g. Viterbo in about an hour, but don't expect that things are right around the corner.

Nous sommes tombĂ©s sous le charme de cette jolie maison. Le cadre est reposant et le paysage environnant grandiose. ! L’espace piscine est propre et bien entretenu.Il est lui aussi trĂšs agrĂ©able et bien amĂ©nagĂ©. Beautiful stone house with stunning views, great swimming pool and all the privacy you need!

This is a real amazing place to stay for my holiday! I wanted a secluded place, private swimming pool and a beautiful view. That's what I got and even more! I was overwhelmed by the stunning views and very comfortable house with all the amenities one needs. Even a robot vacuum cleaner, which makes live on holiday even more relaxing ;-) Sitting at the porch at the first two evenings I unwinded totally. Here you really can see all the stars at night like little light pins in a dark blue sky. The owners are very good hosts and can provided me with all the information I needed about the area and places i visited. The house stays cool during the warm and hot days and has ceiling fans to get the fresh air in at night. That was very comfortable during sleeping. I could sit for hours outside, just looking at the rock formations in the distance. A dip in the pool is even more fantastic and lying in the sun next to it, This was a well spend holiday in a fantastic house, with very nice, friendly hosts place in the amazing countryside of beautiful Lazio. Peaceful Retreat

The house is very comfortable and beautifully furnished with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Manuela is the perfect host and welcomes you with all the information that you will need. Our peaceful and perfect week Umbria

Tranquil, serene escape in the Umbrian countryside with a perfect balance of amenities, location, captivating views and amazing hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at La Casa Pastore at Carpinetta. We found the property to be secluded/private and authentic/rustic while still maintaining all the amenities of a modern home (tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with all new appliances and furniture throughout). We loved that we could hike down to the valley and up into the village next door in the early mornings for coffee and cornetti, take a dip in the pool back at the house and then head out for adventures and day trips in Umbria and Tuscany. We’re already planning to come back next year!

Cette ancienne bergerie, trĂšs bien restaurĂ©e, surplombe un magnifique vallon oĂč nous avons aperçu des biches, une famille de sangliers, des moutons... L'endroit, isolĂ©, est trĂšs calme et le panorama superbe. La maison est agrĂ©able, joliment dĂ©corĂ©e, fonctionnelle et toujours fraiche car orientĂ©e Ă  l'ouest et Ă  l'ombre de grands arbres. La piscine, aux dimensions apprĂ©ciables, est situĂ©e plus haut, en face de la maison des propriĂ©taires qui Ă©taient absents durant notre sĂ©jour et nous avaient invitĂ©s Ă  cueillir les fruits et lĂ©gumes de leur jardin. Manuela s'est montrĂ©e trĂšs Ă  l'Ă©coute lors de nos Ă©changes et nous a adressĂ© des guides utiles pour dĂ©couvrir cette trĂšs belle rĂ©gion d'Italie. Un bilan trĂšs positif donc !

Quiet and relaxing

If you want to escape from a daily stressful life, this is the place to be. The house has all the comfort you need and is beautifully located. In the surrounding villages you find very good restaurants. Manuela takes care of all your wishes and small problems. We had a very relaxing holiday and can recommend it to everyone.

Great place, great host, highly recommended

The property is really well thought out, spacious, comfortable and well equipped with high quality items (e.g. excellent kitchen knives and pots and pans, large fridge freezer and so on). Manuela was easy to contact and very friendly and helpful. The property is a great place to relax in beautiful countryside and there are plenty of things to see and do, too. My top tips would be: use the excellent guide Manuela and Martin have put together for you, hire/bring a vehicle with a bit of ground clearance for bumpy roads, the local wine is ridiculously cheap and delicious so drink plenty of it, if you are fit and have a decent pair of shoes you can walk (down and up really steep slopes) to Civitella d'Agliano where a cold beer will never have tasted so refreshing (!) and yes you can do a day trip to Rome from Casa del Pastore (we drove to Junio metro station, paid €1.50 to park all day in the station car park and took the metro straight to the Colosseum - easy!). After years without a holiday, and having previously had some excellent holidays in other parts of Italy, this had high hopes to live up to - which it did 😁 Many thanks to Manuela and Martin and I encourage you to click book and not miss out!
