Awful!!!!

The moment I opened the door to the room, things were bad. Lights didn’t work by the door. The bed was extremely concave. The room was dirty in general. The final straw was all the bug crawling along and under the baseboards. I asked for a refund, but they refused. I slept in my car.

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. The stairs leading up to the rooms were filthy, and once inside, I found the bedspread, sheets (including what appeared to be blood stains), and towels to be dirty. There were also large, clearly visible stains on the chair, which further contributed to the overall sense of uncleanliness. This was absolutely unacceptable. I reported these issues to the front desk. While they did replace the towels, they informed me that the hotel was fully booked. Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel stay, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet that standard. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

Sprucewood Inn, okay sure.

Inexpensive, OLD property with poor maintenance, peeling paint and a generally sketchy feel but reasonably priced and comfortable beds. Don't expect anything nice but if you need a simple, cheap and very basic place it will do.

Bath tube it smells bad, like really bad. Mold on The Wall In the bathroom. Blanket there was cigarette burn holes in them wasnt happy at all no room service no clean towels i regret coming here.

It was adequate for our one night stop over with dogs, but wouldnt be my choice for a vacation. Nothing spectacular but nothing disgusting either. Bathroom walls and ceiling needed scrubbing and painting. No light in the sink area.no coffee pot in room. Nice woman at front desk. Nice outdoor pool with some well manicured grassy areas with rose bushes.

Comfortable and inexpensive

Great staff! It is comfortable and inexpensive. Not all of the lamps work, but the beds and pillows are comfy. Breakfast is minimal, but good for something quick. We have stayed here multiple times. It is perfect if you have realistic motel expectations.

Typically all hotels/motels provide good glasses for drinking, a tissue paper box, supplies like soap, lotion, napkins and other essential hygienic supply. There was nothing in room. Even after complaining they did not provide me good glasses for drinks. I had to go out and buy glasses for my Alcoholic drinks. I will never stay in Motel like this in my life.

Ok in a pinch

Arrived very late (12:30am) but was made to wait in a cold vestibule for checkin (door to lobby was locked I’m assuming to protect the young girl working). Reserved 2 double beds (traveling with my teenage son) but was given a room with a king bed and told no others available. First room key didn’t work at all and had to go back to the front of the building to get a second key to a new room (she tried to accommodate by providing a room with a king and a sleeper sofa). Room was very cold - turned heater on and first smelled like it was burning, then smelled like wet dog. This did dissipate as the night went on. Rooms definitely need some upkeep (holes in walls).

You really do get what you pay for here, no shampoo or soap for a shower. In pretty sure the bed was broken because when i sat down i sunk into the middle and there was no support with the mattresse at all

We stayed there just one night and had two rooms. Each room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It is an older hotel, but we thought it was worth the money.
