I recently stayed at the Delta Marriott Colchester and had mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the rooms were spotless and very comfortable — clearly well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. However, the breakfast experience left a lot to be desired. There was complete disorganization: no bread available, the juices kept running out, and both coffee machines were out of order. This resulted in long queues and plenty of frustrated guests waiting around. It felt like the breakfast service wasn’t being managed properly, which unfortunately overshadowed what could have been a pleasant stay. With some better attention to breakfast operations, this hotel could easily live up to the Marriott name.

The moment you step into the hotel you get the feeling of being in a 5 star hotel. A warm welcome from the reception team who gave us an efficient yet friendly check in. The room was amazing very clean and certainly above what we expected. Tea and coffee, lots of towels, comfy bed, giant tv, plenty of pillows. All the staff were excellent and the breakfast was very good. Could not fault anything.

Room was clean amd tidy would of been nice to have some biscuits with my tea. Bathroom was very nice and clean. The main reception area all of the glass mirros were filthy and windows and floor out side could do with a clean. Apart from that very nice and happy with the stay

Room and hotel is always clean, this was our second stay. Breakfast was nice, with a few options to choose from and i did see 2 dogs at the hotel so I am presuming it is pet friendly 🙂

A spotless comfortable room. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was perfect and the breakfast was exceptional. We did not bring our pet this time but maybe next time.
