the motel is an old heritage build with a good atmosphere. the rooms were neat and tidy.
the food was really great, but there was no breakfast service, but overall, a great stay.
We visited to go and see a family friend graduate from the Police academy in Goulburn. We arrived just before the kitchen closed and had a tasty meal before being shown to our room. We were to be in room 7 but they couldn't find a key so we were moved across the hall to room 8. Our 7 year ols son compmained through the night that he was itchy. When we woke in the morning his body and arms were covered in bed bug bites.
We contacted the owner in regards to this but they seemed to not care about it at all.
Food was good. It was nice that it was so old. But the accommodation was awfull. Big ventilator next to our room. We both slept less then an 2 hours. Rooms were not clean, room needed repairs, etc. Would definetly not recommend.
I think when you book a hotel like this you should expect something minimal. I really enjoyed staying at Bushranger Hotel, it was comfortable and on a day where it was 17° and there was a chill in the air, it was so homey and reminded me of growing up in the country. I've even mistakenly left some items behind which they've agreed to post to me!
Well, if you are after a quiet, no frills experience of an archaic hotel from a by-gone era in an isolated place, this is your ideal. Itâs great claim to fame is that it was held up by the Ben Hall Gang In 1865. Internally not much has changed (although they do have electricity). Friendly staff, but they disappear at closing time. A shared bathroom, but unlikely to have too many other guests to share it with.
It was nice to stay in old pub.Sharing a bathroom was not convenient.
The bed was a little short. Our stay was a little short to fully experience the place. The history of the pub would have been worth pursuing.
