Check in was bobbled between Expedia and Glenn Eyrie. After much research, we did not get the lodge we booked and were put in a different lodge because the one we booked months earlier was full! The grounds had lots of wildlife (Turkeys and Rocky Mt. Bighorn Sheep) and are beautifully maintained. What a gorgeous geological site! Breakfast was good with plenty of hot food, fruit, pastries , coffee. etc.. We did not know what to expect, other than Breakfast was included.

We stayed in the Big Horn Lodge, which looked nice from the outside. I'll describe the room as spartan. There was no TV, fridge, microwave, bedskirts on the beds, or doors on the closet. The bathtub lacked grab bars and a bath mat---my wife slipped. The room had a QR code for the Cafe, which closed at 5:30, but the website apparently hasn't been updated since Spring.

The grounds are amazing. So much wildlife. We stayed at cedar ridge. It’s dated but very clean. No tvs in the rooms. WiFi is not good. But the scenery is amazing. Breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again.

Magical place! A castle, Great hiking, grounds are incredible, lodging was great and you’ve got the same giant rocks right outside your door as Garden of the Gods. This trip we also saw Big Horn sheep in front of the castle, along with the large number of turkeys. Breakfast is excellent as are all of the staff & volunteers. Rates are very inexpensive. We love it!

What a wonderful property! Such timeless beauty well kept and preserved. My only dislike was staff being in the ballroom watching movies and slamming the door on us when we were looking around. Understandable if we were not allowed to go in there, just rather rude to not even acknowledge us and then quickly shut the door on us while we were standing there, then hear them laughing. Right before this a young man came loudly into the front foyer to fetch a long table (seemed annoyed the whole time) and set it up rather loudly without even acknowledging us or another guest in front of the fire, or even attempting to apologize for the loud noises. Daytime staff were wonderful though!
