Our stay at The Avenue Historic Mansion in downtown Manitou Springs was truly lovely. We had 21 family members and the home easily accommodated all of us. There was plenty of space to gather together as a group, while still allowing for individual activities and playtime. The kitchen and main dining room were large enough to prep and cook meals for everyone, and we enjoyed using the additional eating areas in the living room as well.The home is full of character and charm. If you love historic properties and understand the unique quirks that come with them, this is an amazing place to stay. We created wonderful memories together and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We did submit a service request for the hot tub, which was not as clean as expected, and the team responded immediately and took care of it. Overall, a fantastic experience. Five stars.

We had a great stay. Cool, old, beautiful place with more than plenty of room to spread out. Very clean with comfy beds. Easy parking in the back. Perfect location for exploring Manitou Springs on foot. Lots of stairs (inside and outside) - I stayed on the 3rd floor and got some serious exercise. Warning to the tall people - watch your head on the stairs, through doorways, and around the front parlor chandelier - people were a bit shorter in the late 1800s when they built the place. When we arrived, there was a bit of chaos regarding a burst water line in one of the bathrooms - maintenance arrived within a couple of hours and resolved the issue quickly - good communication with the host. Overall, a fine experience.

Wonderful house

Close to town but you couldn't hear the traffic or people. Lovely victorian that has 8 bedrooms most with a private bath, plus a large TV room that could be used for another bedroom and a carriage house that has a bedroom and pull out couch. Plenty of room for everyone and a nice hot tub in the back of the property. Could use a few more kitchen items but was able to cook meals.

Family reunion in Manitou Springs

The spacious home perfectly accommodated our family of 24 people. The individual families were happy to have their own private sleeping and bathroom areas. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The home is perfectly located and Manitou Springs is a great town with loads of things to do in town and in the surrounding area.The home could have been cleaner. The dishes needed to be washed prior to using; the front porch was not swept/dirty.We also tried to arrange an earlier entry time but management was not very receptive to our request.But overall, our stay was very enjoyable and pleasant and I would recommend this home.

Wonderful VRBO in the Heart of Manitou Springs

This is an amazing large home in the heart of Manitou Springs, walking distance from the penny arcade, shops and restaurants in Downtown Manitou. We stayed for our non-profits annual retreat and the large formal dining room allowed us to have a productive meeting. In the evening, we had fun playing games in the front family room and just hanging out on the large front porch. It was also very nice to just be able to walk into downtown Manitou right from the front door. Definitely recommend a stay here and we will be back.

Superb location. Adequate accommodations for a large group of 13 people. Family gathering and dining areas worked very well beside the well equipped kitchen. The steps and multiple levels presented a challenge to one of our handicapped guests but the rear access to the carriage house and short cut to the kitchen solved the problem. The many attractions in the surrounding area were another benefit. Thank you for an enjoyable experience.

We are a family ranging in age from 8 to 77. 13 total. This house was perfect. Each bedroom had its own bath. It was well supplied with everything you need for your stay. So convenient to all sorts of shops, restaurants, and coffee. It was perfect.

Great venue for family events!

We stayed at the Mansion & Carriage House in Manitou Springs to celebrate a graduation with friends and family. The venue and location were great! Manitou Springs is such a quaint mountain town that provided our guests some fun activities to do when we had down time. We highly recommend for any family-oriented event where you can have family meals and celebrations together under one roof.

Lovely Place!

The main house was beautiful and very clean. It had an amazing view overlooking Manitou Avenue. The house is very well taken care of and it was perfect for our group of 13 people and 4 kids. The cottage in the back was super cute and it gave the property a community feel where you could just cross the patio to visit your neighbor.

Spring Break in Manitou Springs

This property was nice and clean and had plenty of room for the 11 of us. I was also able to bring my dog which was nice as he’s part of the family. The location was great, right in the heart of Manitou Springs. All the kids enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub. The owners were very responsive with any questions we had. Thank you!

Heart of Manitou

We had a wonderful stay at “the Avenue” in Manitou Springs. It was a nostalgic return to my hometown. We loved the Victorian feel of the home, the perfect location—right by downtown Manitou shopping district, and the decor—antique furnishings with a more modern kitchen and family room seating area. Two eating areas gave us plenty of room for gathering to eat and play games and my toddler grandchildren loved the game room. One even fell asleep in the arms of the giant teddy bear! We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historic home that accommodates large groups.

Beautiful home. Perfect size for large groups. Rooms are large, beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has all of the necessities. Town of Manitou is very nice and relaxing. Many stairs to maneuver both inside and out. Front and back of house have nice areas to sit. Hottub is a plus to enjoy. The separate cottage was quaint and perfect to provide grandparents room/living room and kitchen for more privacy. Parking was easy with provided parking passes. Overall 5 stars just realize stairs inside and outside could provide challenges.

Perfect family getaway!

This place had everything we needed to enjoy our stay for our son’s December graduation from the Air Force Academy! It was nice to be able to walk along the Main Street in Manitou Springs right outside your door, for coffee or snacks or dinner. The kitchen was very well-stocked and there was enough space for the extended family to enjoy some quiet time! The only down side (but not really a deterrent) was the multiple levels of floors, which wasn’t too much of a problem for the younger kids but being from Florida at sea level and having to do stairs to get to bedrooms was a challenge for some of the older members of the family. Overall, it was a great stay and the owner and property managers were extremely nice and helpful. We would definitely stay again. It was a magical visit for us, with the added bonus of snow! ❄️

We had a great time on New Years Eve. A group of nerdy friends playing games, enjoying the hot tub, and exploring this interesting home. Comfortable beds and 9 bathrooms from which to choose. Updated kitchen was functional and clean.
