Pre-stay booking and communication was great. We were excited to stay there. The morning of the reservation, the property manager and I communicated numerous times via text. All systems were go. Two hours before the check in time of 4 pm, we received a text stating, â I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately, we need to cancel your reservation due to an unexpected delay with a major maintenance task. The kitchen is currently completely torn apart, and it's clear the unit won't be ready in time for your stay.â This was either untrue or they chose to not disclose what was happening earlier, which would have allowed us time to make other plans. Two hours notice is unacceptable. While they refunded our fees, they were unsympathetic to the situation they put us in and unwilling to offset any of the additional expenses we accrued due to their dishonest communication. Finally, felt like this deserved a phone call vs a Chat GPT generated text message. I would proceed with caution when booking here.
