Nice upgraded furnishings but dirty

Upon checking in I realized that my room had not really been cleaned very well, but I was too exhausted to deal with it immediately. The next morning when I went to make coffee I realized that the carafe still had coffee in the bottom of it and it had not been washed. I also realized that my feet were filthy black from the floor which meant it had not been mopped. Also in the bathroom, when I moved the toilet paper holder, there was a used bandaid and wrapper underneath it. Yet another indication it hadn't been mopped and cleaned thoroughly. The TV remote was missing the back and only worked if you were standing right next to the TV with it pointed at the receiver. This is a older place with a huge upgrade in furnishings which would have made it super nice, if it had been cleaned properly!!

It was loud, dogs barking both nights (for hours) and staff right next to the door cursing and loud. The room itself was nice enough.

Strong weird smell in the room, Half used toilet paper in the bathroom and no extras, beds where very uncomfortable, random people would be in the parking lot during the night.

Very friendly and personable front desk person. They remembered our phone conversation and made me feel welcome. The room was clean, and the microwave and fridge were a great addition. Would definitely stay here again!

Better than expected.

The room was clean, but all the furnishings were well worn and still serviceable. The staff was very friendly and quick to fix any issues at check in. Even with the updated look, it still feels dated. Not a bad stay, but not great either. Would recommend bringing your own pillow. The ones here go flat instantly.

The room was surprisingly spacious and updated for the price. It's downtown and close to event centers and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

Downtown surprise

The room was clean and had been remodeled. The towels are super soft and the bed comfortable. The motel is in the downtown area of Colo Springs which does have a higher percentage of homeless than the more suburban/highway areas. That said, we felt safe and had no issues. We were careful not to leave anything in the car though. I liked this motel and the walkability to downtown businesses. It was a short walk to several great restaurants and bars.
