The room was so much larger than we expected. When we arrived it was 11:30pm and we were greeted by Patrick who made us feel so welcome and that he genuinely was happy for us to be staying there. Would stay here again if needing to be back in Columbia, SC for anything.

We booked on Expedia a month in advance- upon on arrival the manager could not locate our reservation until I gave him our confirmation number. He then sent us to our ‘assigned’ room only for the key card to reject entry. My husband walked back down to the front desk where he rescanned the keys and sent my husband back upstairs. The keys still did not work so- here he goes again. Mind you this is midnight and we are exhausted. The manager came up with his master unlock key card tool and then we heard screaming from inside “you have the wrong room!” Turns out our room had been given away. We waited another 20 minutes for the issue to be resolved and a room found for us. We did not get our king size bed as reserved, but at that point we didn’t care. To the poor lady frightened by this mix up, I am so sorry management was inept and unorganized! As we waited, we heard multiple complaints from other guests, unmade beds, ladder and paints in one room and rooms assigned to them were NOT what they reserved. Holiday Inn- do better!!!

Won’t be back…

At check-in, the clerk was extremely rude. She clearly hates her job and hates people. She didn’t tell me about the deposit when she gave me the total. When I questioned her why I was charged $75 more, she got mad at me and was very difficult. When we got to our to our room, it had a very weird smell, there was hair in the bathroom and the beds were awful. During the night we were awakened all night by a drip. Long story short, the drip was the ac and the weird smell was mold. The clerk this time was super accommodating and we changed rooms. No hair and no smell in the next room.
