The biggest issue by far was that the lobby area had a very strong horrible smelling fragrance, which gave me a migraine. Of much lesser impact was that the room is not designed efficiently. It was a large room, but there wasn't much place to put stuff. The bathroom was not separated from the bedroom by a door, so light from the bathroom disturbs anyone still sleeping.

The room was good condition. However the hotel is not secure. There’s a lot of walking traffic in and out of the hotel and the elevators do not require room key to go up to rooms. Not ideal for such a busy area

Friendly, efficient staff. Very clean and convenient location. However, the thermostat in the room read indoor temperature in the room was 78-80 degrees when it obviously was much cooler. Also the thermostat was set to not allow temperature to be set above 74 degrees in the heat mode. Therefore there was no way to get the heat to come on. We were a little cool considering it was 30-35 degrees outside. Electronic thermostats allow the installer to offset the room temperature reading making it read warmer than it really is in the room and to limit temperature settings as well. My wife has been seriously ill for the past several months and could not warm the room up to her comfort level. For the price charged for the room Aloft can surely afford to allow their guests this basic comfort and right. I am extremely disappointed in our right to comfort seemingly taking a back seat to profit.
