The woman at the front desk was friendly, helpful and efficient. The room is clean, spacious and comfortable. We quite like the Port Augusta Inn, with the hotel location very handy to downtown Comox. We plan to continue to use it as our first choice when staying in the Courtenay/Comox area. Unfortunately the fabulous Sushi Wara Japanese restaurant is closed on Tuesdays; it is normally a highlight of staying at the Port Augusta Inn.

Options at breakfast were simple and limited, but fine. I discovered a bakery down the road with delicious coffee and pastries (the flying apron). The stay was motel-like. Adequate and well maintained. Proud staff work here. Close to the ‘main drag’ in Comox, where you can find nice boutiques and artisan shops. Also minutes to the ocean. I’d recommend for a brief stay or family stay. No pool - closed for the season.
