View from the balcony was nice. But hotel hasn't been renovated, room smelled stale, beds old, very simple continental snacks. Room did have a fridge & microwave. Toilet plugged and had to wait a significant amount of time and ask again to get a plunger. The area is on a busy street (which is also under construction) on one side and a run down looking school / park on the other. There is a pool and it looked okay but we didn't use it. I would recommend staying in Courtney instead at a newer hotel unless you really need to be close to Comox.

Property is centrally located to the Comox street shops and the harbour. Rooms are large, well equipped and clean. Some modernization has been started(in our room the bathroom had been updated). Generally, however, the main suite rooms, building exterior and property need a large amount of updating. The property is on OK value for the area but not excellent. Having said that, knowing what I know now.....would I stay there again? The answer is yes.

New pool liner for the pool, makes it nice for kids staying there. The room is showing it's age. needs new caulking around the tub and the tile seams need a good scrub to brighten them up again. Could use a magnifying mirror around the bathroom sink.. the deep red feature wall is a bit much, but that is just personal taste. Staff was very polite and the breakfast was very adequate. Just took a while to check out as our reservation was difficult for one of the desk people to find as we changed room assignments when we checked in. No Biggie, just took a bit of time to get it sorted. we have been here 4times in 4 years and find it very convenient for us to stay and visit friends and family!

We return in the summer months for the outdoor swimming pool... With the new liner this year it is quite enjoyable. Unfortunately when my wife left her sandals in the room post checkout upon return to collect them at the Inn @ 4 hours later we were sadly informed that cleaning staff had threw them in the garbage...Lesson learned by everyone! We will continue our stays at the Inn as the office staff are amazing and the pool is fantastic!!!

They were easy to call to change rooms because I needed one that was pet friendly. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. It was quieter than I expected with the group downstairs from us. Great stay.
