Wonderful stay at the beach

We had a great time. The house and pool were so clean. The house was updated and fresh. The pool was a life saver as there was a heat wave during our stay and we used the pool daily . We would highly recommend this home.

Our family of four loved this four bedroom house and all of the amenities. Great appliances (washer, dryer, stove, fridge, etc.). Amazing pool and close to the beach. We would stay here again during another visit to OBX.

Beautiful and updated house. Great space for 5 adults and a baby! Loved the pool. Super clean. Had the essentials but not cluttered. Definitely want to return next year!

NIce house in a great area

Very nice house with an open floor plan and everything you need for a great stay. It is about an 8 minute walk to the beach. We were there with teenagers and they liked the fact that they could walk down to the grocery store, ice cream parlor, and putt putt golf. The kitchen has plenty of place settings and equipment but make sure you bring everything else. Overall great trip!!

Enjoyed our stay!

We had an enjoyable vacation at Southwind. The house was nice and clean. We loved the pool area. The weather was hot so we spent a lot of time swimming . The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and is not far from the beach or shopping. Shoreline was wonderful to deal with. The table umbrella at the pool was broken and they quickly replaced it.

Nice home to rent. It was well maintained; the location was convenient to beach and shopping. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. I wouldn't have any reservations about renting it again. We had some start up issues, but the rental company took care of them quickly.

Great relaxing property!

We really enjoyed this house. From the wonderful breeze while relaxing on the front porch rocking chairs, to the brand new pool, hot tub, and screened in outdoor shower. The house and property is very clean and well maintained, the check in and out process is simple, the location is quiet and overall very relaxing. The beach is a few short blocks away and there's a wonderful nature preserve with trails steps away. Gas, shops, and restaurants are a very short drive. Would definitely recommend it!

We loved the beach house at OSM-2 Southwind! It was appeared to be recently renovated and was very clean. We had plenty of room for our family with plenty of bathrooms & TVs-- this turned out to be important since we had awful beach weather during our stay. Our only complaint was that the gas grill wasn't working properly so we needed to cook inside. The kitchen was well-stocked, too. Highly recommend this property.

Great house, nice layout and furnishings and easy walk to the beach. The pool area is especially nice. The only thing missing was the Tiki Hut advertised, I know it was supposed to be the screened-in area, but that's a stretch. Better to just call it a screened-in area with a shower and not set a tiki hut expectation. All in all great house and Shoreline was very responsive as usual.

The Place to Go in Corolla

This location was great for our family of 7. It had everything we needed except what was listed to bring. (Personally I'd prefer to spend a little more to have those necessities there upon arrival) The little sitting area upstairs was perfect for our grandchildren to watch TV or read their books--privacy for them. The beds were comfortable. The pool was perfect for relaxation after time at the beach. The walk to the beach was easy even for three children. We had no issues with the location and loved it for our vacation.

Lovely stay

Other than the pool not being cleaned when we got there, we had a wonderful stay. I did contact shoreline obx about the pool, they assured me that someone would come out to vacuum the pool, and that never happened, didn’t matter my kids still enjoyed it. The house was very clean, just a couple things like food on the kitchen cabinets. Probably the cleanest bathrooms of anywhere I have ever stayed. The house was very comfortable temperature and moisture wise, compared to some damp places we have stayed in OBX. Towel sets were individual wrapped which was very nice. Walk to the beach was not bad, if you don’t have toddlers to tote. Little lake by the house has turtles which were fun to watch. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Great location!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The location was great - just a 10 min walk to the beach, close to restaurants and stores and in a quiet neighborhood. The home is well equipped, tastefully decorated on the main level and spacious. The pool required a bit of maintenance and service was very quick and efficient. We did get locked out on July 4th at 10 pm - our door code expired - but the response to our emergency call was quick, we were able to get in the house with an alternate method and maintenance sent someone the next day to re-code the lock. Our only "complaint" were the pesky alarms on the doors going to the pool. Once we figured them out though, they weren't a problem. Overall, I give the house and our stay an excellent rating.

I recently stayed at this vacation rental and wanted to share my experience, especially regarding a couple of areas that I felt could be better represented in the listing. First off, the cleanliness of the property was commendable. The overall atmosphere was inviting, and it felt well-prepared for guests. However, there were a couple of misrepresentations that potential visitors should be aware of. The master bedroom, which was advertised as having a king-size bed, actually featured a full/queen bed but was set up with a king bedroom set. While the bed was comfortable, it was not what we expected based on the booking description. This could be an important detail for anyone specifically looking for a king-size sleeping arrangement. Also the tv was not working in that room. Another area of concern was the pool area. It had rotting boards around the outside, diminishing the overall appeal and safety of the space. Additionally, the pool itself appeared to need a fresh coat of paint and looked dirty, which detracted from our enjoyment of this amenity. Overall, while the rental had its merits, I believe addressing these issues would significantly enhance the guest experience. I hope this feedback is helpful for future guests and for the owners to make necessary adjustments.
