Overall, it was good. The view was great. The house is right by the boardwalk entrance to the beach, which was super convenient. The house was clean and well represented in the pictures. I wish there were a way to get from the patio to the ground level, but you have to go through the house. The view from the master bedroom was great, but I was disappointed with how dirty the windows were. When there was direct light, the view was obscured by the hazy, windows. There are no restrooms on the ground floor. People coming from the beach who need to use the restroom have to go upstairs through the house. If more than one person needs to use the restroom, you have to go all the way to the top floor, where the other two bathrooms are located.The beach was nice, and our kids had fun in the ocean.We were caught off guard by people driving on the beach, and unfortunately, with it being Spring Break, there were tons of college-age young adults partying there. Periodically, there would be a caravan of police that would come break up their parties, and so they would all get in their cars, crank up their music, and drive down the beach in long, very disruptive caravans. They would rev their engines, fishtail, and sometimes treat the beach like a drag racing strip. My understanding is that this was only normal over spring break, so for those coming at a different time, it might be a better experience.The pool seemed nice, but it was too cold for us to use while we were there.

Very refreshing to come to this review on the coast with just leaving a different property not on the coast but was not welcoming at all. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone. Felt like we were wanted there. Good job and keep up the good work.

Well-appointed, and location location location. Steps from the beach. Easy access to everything we needed: HEB, airport to pick up a family member, Mustang and Goose Island State Parks, nice restaurants, coffee shop.Plenty of plates, utensils, glasses and serving dishes. Comfortable furniture, everything in good shape. Nice beds.Easy communications w/texts, info on fridge.Only negatives: ice maker wasn't working but we didn't need any. Wish there was a small pantry(even free-standing) to put our food; kinda covered up all the counters. This close to the beach, we didn't care. Great stay.
Not kidding, this is right outside the house.
Watch the sun rise from the 3rd floor king bed.

April Beach Trip

Have stayed at several VRBO homes in Port A over the years, and this has become our favorite. Great location with direct gulf view. Clean, comfortable with all the basic necessities.

We had a great stay at Lost Colony. The location was perfect — just a short walk to a beautiful, quiet stretch of beach. The house was clean and comfortable, and the deck was a nice place to relax after a day by the water.

Fantastic Place To Stay

The property was clean and had everything we needed for a week's trip. The location of the beach access was perfect. Gulf view with easy in and out access.Far enough away from local stores and businesses to feel isolated but still close for eateries and grocery supplies.

Perfect beach house

Corpus christi beach house

Its a little beach house located right on the shore within a gated community of similar homes. The location is good, with the ocean visible from the terrace. However, the view is partially obstructed by lush green bushes, which also attract quite a few mosquitoes. The boardwalk is surrounded by greenery, and while I was initially concerned about snakes in the area, thankfully, I didn’t see any. One downside is that there’s no shower on the ground floor, but there is one on the boardwalk, though it’s also surrounded by the same greenery and mosquitoes. Additionally, the entrance had quite a few ant hills. The house itself was clean, and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with almost all the necessary utensils, though it would have been nice to have some basic items like salt and pepper on hand. I also noticed there were no extra throws or blankets; each bed only had a thin sheet-like blanket. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the beachside location and reasonable price, but I don’t think I would choose to stay in this house again.

Family vacation

The house was in the perfect location. Direct access to the beach and pool you couldn't pick a better spot. It was well maintained, clean and provided everything you need to accommodate a large family. It is three levels so be prepared for stairs, it was well worth the beach view and privacy. We did have an issue with the bed count but when we notified the management they resolved quickly. Thank you for a beautiful home away from home!
