This is a great property and my family had a wonderful time. The only thing is that the pictures online are not accurate. There are two room which we supposed to have two double beds which have been updated to have king beds. This became an issue as my 13 and 16 year old did not want to sleep in the same bed but we figured it out. Other than that, you cannot beat the location and proximity to the ocean.

Not worth it

Two cockroaches in the kitchen area. I had asked prior to arrival to ensure a clean house. I guess they let the beach front sell itself but don’t take ownership in the quality of the home.

Great location

Can’t beat the location of this property and the deck feels like you’re right on the beach. The neighborhood is also great. Only complaint is the dishes and pans were dirty when we showed up. Our dogs also got fleas on the property but hard to say where. Overall great stay in Port A!

Location

We stayed in same house 12-14 years ago. Location is excellent and very hard to beat right on the beach. The deck offers 180 degree beach views. Lots of light in kitchen / dining area. Kitchen is well appointed. My singular ding has to do with the 5 dead roaches we found (3 within first 15 minutes) on the floor, and the deck which had not been cleaned up after prior tenant.

1. Could not access ground floor room until second day 2. Ground floor room does not have shower/tub (should have been noted in description of property) 3. Dirt/heavy dust in bathrooms on cabinet doors and all doors that are louvered 4. Flying cockroaches (we have been going to Lost Colony for over 16 years and never saw cockroaches until this property 5. Great wrap around porch 6. Not enough towels 7. Responsive property manager

Any time I called the facility before arrival, always helpful and courtesious! Only 1 issue was TV didn't work. Was not a high priority due to being succumbed by the beach. Did not even bother the teenager that was with us. One tiny bug spotted in the house- but keep in mind, you are literally water front. Can tell that they do try to keep these houses routinely sprayed. View from the balconies and window was spectacular!! We were in aw! Was nice to sit outside relaxing and enjoying the beach. Only issue was parking. I refuse to deduct review for something that was not in their control. Will definitely recommend anyone to stay at Titas Sandcastle. Just phenomenal! We all definitely enjoyed ourselves and had much needed relaxation. Would love to come back here in the future!

Great Beach Front Property

First, the house location was fabulous. Great deck with view of the beach. Very, very short wall to the beach. The deck is fenced in so this was great for the dogs. Because of it's location, the beach was very private. The first floor layout was nice for entertaining before dinner. The upstairs bedroom was very private although I wouldn't recommend the stairs for the elderly. I was disappointed in the room at basement level (ground level). It was very musty but being so close to the water, I am not sure how they would solve this issue. A little more effort could have been made to make this a destination worth the price. At this price, I would have expected kitchen supplies like salt and pepper, plenty of paper towels and trash bags, toilet paper, etc. (It isn't advertised to have these items but I think for the price, they should have made a better effort to supply the basic necessities so we didn't have to go to the store) Overall, I would recommend this house if you want to be close to the beach and have a great view close to teh water.

Great Views

The location and views are amazing. The house and furnishings are starting to show their age. Floor in upstairs bedroom has major soft spots in a couple of places, one window there was no covering so the you knew when it was day light, tiles cracking downstairs, couch was old and uncomfortable. But if you can overlook those kind of things you’ll love everything else

The views were wonderful, you cannot use the awning, so it is hard to sit out on the porch until late evening. The beds were comfy, only 2 TV’s. The 4th bedroom was outside, under the main porch, but we couldn’t use due to no electricity for electrical outlets or the air conditioner. The house needs overhaul.

Old house great location

Overall the home is old and all but the master bathroom are tiny. However you are right on the breach, and at night you can sit on the deck and see thousands of stars!

Perfect vacation.

Enjoyed kitchen table that easily seated 10 people with beach view. Bedrooms were nice size. 2 small bathrooms and a really large master bathroom in main house. Large deck with plenty of seating over looking beach . Garage was a mess. Firmly believe the mess was from previous renters not taking their broken down canopy’s. .3-4 left behind and lots of sandy kids buckets in garage and on upper deck

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I booked this property to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. We traveled from Michigan with our 2 kids and invited my parents along. We all slept comfortably, throughly enjoyed the house, and had the greatest time. The house is in a prime location with great views and easy access to the beach. We would definitely make another trip!
