We had a great stay last week at the Allegro! The grounds were clean and the staff was very nice, especially David and the whole entertainment crew. We also did a lot of scuba diving and the staff at Pro Dive International were excellent. The diving conditions were perfect and the staff there was so accommodating, especially Mika who was very patient with my children who were new divers. We will definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful time here! Great snorkeling! We did scooters from across the street, and a jeep (jimmy) tour that was absolutely amazing! We stayed 4 nights, so were only allotted one specialty dining. But only one night had room for all 9 of us ( or even 4 and 5 separate). Desk told me 730pm. We get there, and the host was rude yelling saying we were an hour late. We ALL heard it said 730 not 630. That was the only downfall. We could not try any specialty dining.

If you are looking for a small resort this is your place! Everything was a very short walk from our room. The room was clean, food was good, pools were beautiful, staff was excellent especially the pool and beach wait staff they work so hard much appreciation for these great services! The beach was so peaceful.

Super bien atendidos. Los animadores, David y Juan Diego te mantienen activo con todo tipo de actividades. Inclusive tuvimos una clase con el barista Sergio "Tenoch", quien es muy amable por cierto, de mixologia. La playa hermosa y limpia. En general un excelente servicio. El unico inconveniente, es que no cuentan con habitacion de cortesia para quienes sus vuelos salen tarde.

Beautiful property and perfect access to the beach. Too bad dinner reservations couldn’t be made in advance. Website doesn’t specify that only one dinner restaurant is open per night. First time staying here - property was very well kept. Rooms were clean and the AC was comfortable. We were Premium level so there was bottled water and canned drinks in our room. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and polite. Food and drinks were excellent with lots of options. Pools were clean with lots of chairs and shade. Lots of activities during the day and at night. We rented a car to explore the island and there was ample parking. One reason we picked this resort was the location as it was a little further from downtown - the beach was beautiful and not crowded. Very happy with our experience here!!

Food was terrible, and I also didn’t think I was a picky eater, but all their food was bland, cold and lacked any taste. It’s really unfortunate that the property is beautiful and the workers work all day to give you the best experience possible, and yet the moment you sit down for breakfast lunch or dinner, you are very disappointed. Also something I did not know is that you only get a dinner reservation at one restaurant PER WEEK. So, you really only have one meal that’s okayish. The property is beautiful, but the food really brings it down a few stars. Also, note that there really isn’t any air conditioning on the property, so you will be very hot the whole time.

This was an all around complete property. Many positives about this spot, specially for families. Lots of entertainment and activities. Food is great and staff is amazing. Only negative I have for this is the size of the rooms. Very small.

The staff is wonderful and helpful. If you are a busy body and like organized activities, they’ve got it. If you like lounging by the beach, it’s the most beautiful private beach I’ve been to on the island. We chose this place because we wanting half all inclusive and the other half diving time and this resort had it. I will say, if you chose the diving package, be sure to contact the dive shop ahead of time to make sure there’s nothing you need to do ahead of time (like doctor’s approval due to age or medical restrictions). They were helpful and the dive guides were great. You could store your gear there too which was a plus. The food was just ok. Buffet was hit or miss. Breakfast was my most favorite food selection. There are also 3 very small restaurants that require reservations to attend to. Booking starts at 9 am but since we dove most days, everything was booked by the time we got back. They wouldn’t let us book more than a day in advanced, however, when we were checking out, I noticed the 2 people in front of us able to book out many days in advanced. I was so confused about this. We ended up getting a taxi to go out to eat for dinner which defeats the purpose of staying at a resort. Plus the beer selection is just Corona. MAYBE a Modelo but not guaranteed. We just stuck to liquor instead. We made the best of our vacation so don’t think we didn’t enjoy our time. We just realized we aren’t resort people.

Beautiful resort, however we had two major issues. Noise and smell. From the moment we arrived there was a strong sewage smell that seemed to follow us from the lobby area to our room. We were assigned to the lower floor and when we opened the door we could still smell it. It was worse in the shower and sink area. Secondly, we could hear every footstep, toilet flush, and intimate act from the guests above us. Between the awful smell and noisey neighbors, our room was not very relaxing. We didn't complain because we thought this was just how it is at this resort. It was unbearable particularly at night. We endured this for 5 days. On our last day, while at the beach we overhead another guest complaining to others about the smell in their room. We joined the conversation and found out his family was staying on the other side of the resort yet had the same smell in their rooms. The other guests said they didn't have a smell. The family with the smell couldn't imagine staying in their room another night and requested a room change. If we had known the smell was not everywhere on the property but only in specific areas, we would have requested a room change after night one. I'm sharing this to advise other guests to speak up if they smell that sewage smell in their room. Its not everywhere... it could just be that the front desk assigned you to one of these unfortunate rooms on the property. Don't make our mistake. Say something and request a new room.

The resort is decent for the money. Staff is friendly and the beach and pools are nice. The food is below average and not a lot of variety. No place to get snacks for children or the beach. Extremely hard to get a reservation for restaurants but the hibachi was excellent. Rooms are ok but not luxurious at all. We had 6 rooms and there was hot water issues in 3.
