We loved everything about our stay at Shady Pines retreat. THE PROS:The owners have put a lot of thought and detail into selecting furnishings and amenities that appeal to a diverse group of travelers, including ample USB chargers, large, plush towels, an assortment of games, and a variety of water toys, floats, chairs and life vests. My normal grow-bored-easily nieces and nephews, ranging from ages 5 through 15, never got bored and (gasp!) got along for the entire trip! We had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy each otherâs company, with the boat house (and ping pong table) providing a nice respite, though I will say the breeze from the lake and shade of the trees offered a nice balance to my he July heat. The house is updated and mattresses are extremely comfortable. My mom particularly loved watching the sun set from the deck above the boat house, and the swim deck was a fantastic touch. Check in and out was a breeze and I loved that the cleaning fee covered all the deep cleaning (no long check out list to handle). THE CONS:Nothing. Seriously: nothing. We loved our time and were sad when our stay was up, but we hope to be back soon to make more memories!
