The best things were a roof over our heads and a bed to sleep in. What didn’t we like? Stained rugs, dirty toilet bowl, dirty coffee carafe, faded questionable bedcovers, filthy air vents on air conditioner. While the decor was hunt camp with little cozy, the toilet seat took the prize- clear with imbedded razor blades? Real or not, not funny.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay, especially considering the affordable price. The bed was comfortable, and the spaciousness, along with the indoor hot tub, added to our experience. It would have been even better if there were a toaster and an electric kettle available, as the lack of a stove made it a bit challenging for meal preparations. We also noticed that there was only one small coffee stand in town, which limited our options as vegans.
However, there were a couple of cleanliness issues that we encountered. We found balls of long hair under the comforter, and the top sheet had an obvious stain. Addressing these concerns would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Motel is older and well used but clean and bed was comfortable. It is appropriately priced. There is a restaurant next door. I am a solo female traveler and I felt safe. I would stay here again.
Front desk attendant was very pleasant when checking in. Ample parking available. Room was dirty. Carpet had many stains and not vacuumed well. Couch had stains on the seated area. Bathroom was dirty and there was a hole in the wall under the sink. Rodents could get in easily. Lamp attached to the wall was not plugged in nor was the cord long enough to reach the outlet. Sitting chair by the table was very wobbly. Will not stay again.

Smelled like maple syrup?
I couldn't place the smell exactly, but it was a bit sticky and a bit sweet....maybe remnants of tobacco and pet odors? The air conditioner roared all night, which partially drowned out the noisy neighbors, and the room had a functional refrigerator/microwave/coffeemaker for the morning. We picked the place for its north-side access to Crater Lake and its EV charger ($10!); it did the job.
I was on the road looking for a place to stay on the inexpensive side. I was so happy I ran into this hotel. It’s a little dated as the TV is the old-school kind. But this customer service cleanliness and atmosphere well made up for it. Across the street is a very good place to eat. Called Bigfoot. Don’t pass it up.
It is an older hotel, having said that it was quaint and charming. Loads of cool details and themed rooms. Food was right next door and across the street. Great jumping off point to Crater Lake and central Oregon.

Quaint place to stay on way to Crater Lake. Enjoyed our stay.
It was a nice overnight stay. AC is a window unit. Decorations was all wildlife which was nice except the odd toliet seat that was razor blades? The toilet seat affected nothing, just odd, so we'd stay again.
