Besides that the staff member that checked us in was professional, friendly and corrected a booking errror, I found the toilet height in Room 100 was actually able to accommodate an adult male with a disability.

Safe. Clean. Convenient. Friendly. It's perfect for what it is. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff. We booked a manatee trip with Crystal River Watersports (awesome company, BTW - just steps away from the hotel) and the hotel graciously offered to extend our check-out until noon - so we could have a quick shower after our manatee experience. Highly recommend the Days Inn/Crystal River Watersports combo.

The room had an overpowering chemical smell probably from the cleaning agents used, causing an allergic reaction from one in our party. We had to leave. It appeared that part of the hotel is used to house homeless as several were sitting outside their rooms chit chatting. They were just there and not threatening, but we felt uncomfortable. The manager tried to offer another room or solution and then told us to work with Expedia for a possible refund. Thank you, Expedia, carrying through and helping us book other nearby lodging.

The rooms were pretty clean, but we had issues with the showers in two of our three rooms. The rooms also had a slight mildew smell to them upon arrival. We were only staying one night and one night is probably all I could stay there.
