Great hotel

Kantu hotel is a really good choice. It is in a central location in Cusco and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We stayed either side of 2 treks and they stored our bags without question. If I visit Cusco again I would go there

I reserved a room with a panoramic vista because I thought it would be nice to wake up in the morning with lots of light in the room. I wasn't given a room with a panoramic vista and I don't believe a room exists with this description. I complained to the hotel and they promised the correct room the next day. I still didn't get it. I then complained to Expedia who didn't really care and told me the hotel policy was not to give a refund or compensation for booking a higher rated room and not getting it. I have now started using another website to book hotels.

Nice location. It is near a lot of shopping & dining options. The bus for inca rail is a 15 min walk. The noises and echoes can be quite loud so be sure to have earplugs. Overall enjoyed my stay here.

Excellent value for the money. Excellent staff, good space for dining, lounge. Convenient location, safe. Had two different rooms. First a classic triple, spacious, big bathroom. But window to corridor above bed ?! made it hard to sleep, plus could hear anyone walking in corridor. Second was deluxe studio with nice jacuzzi. Much better for sleeping. Breakfast excellent due to fresh fruits. Guests apparently from a wide variety of countries, practical types. Were very happy staying there.

Margarita and her staff went above and beyond the week I stayed there in September of 2025. Though she is a manager, she helped with my luggage upon arrival and departure. She knew I was traveling alone and would be without people I knew for my birthday, and she went out of her way to ensure I had a wonderful birthday and week, with a small present, a chocolate treat and a personalized, colorful birthday note. She also assisted me with small things and it meant the world to me. Her staff also provided world class service, and assisted with the heating instructions, changing the language on the television, helping me unlock the door when my hands were full, extra room cleaning and more. The breakfast buffet is lovely, my room was gorgeous, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the heater was excellent. Tue location is outstanding, the staff is incredible ( especially the manager Margarita, Grace, Angie, Reno, Frank and the entire breakfast / cleaning staff. Thank you, Margarita and Kantu staff for making my birthday week memorable and thanks for your world class hospitality. You all work very hard , take pride in your work and sincerely care about your guests . Thank you.

This property is good, not great. Very close to the train station and close to the downtown. Check in was odd as many staff but poor communication. Gave them my passport like normal and then had to sign the guestbook and enter my passport information again. Everyone’s information is there for all to see. Very old school. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was terrible.
