Iâm over these vacation rentals thatâve been bought by investment firms, flipped and turned around as cheaply/fast as possible. This was the typical vacation rental from an investment firm. Cheapest âamenitiesâ. Expired/old things for coffee & tea. Sugar packets stirrers, from Racetrac, QuikTrip (which are free).Imagine spending over 300 a night and seeing things stocked (thatâre free) from a gas station. At least when you rent a hotel, those are good quality, not expired, and not taken from a gas station.Same for the other âamenitiesâ. Shampoo bottle thatâs been used. Couch thatâs worn out. Cheapest TVâs from 10 years ago. A fridge that doesnât fit the space, they just slid it in there, not even straight, that hasnât been dusted on top.Like almost every other vacation rental, it hasnât been fully dusted in a month or more. Some places havenât been dusted in so long, itâs spotless underneath whatâs there. Cobwebs in various places, and hanging off the fan, I could only get 1 pic that would show it.Dust/mold blew out of the HVAC unit, when we turned on the AC.Flooring in the bathroom is peeling up in places. And most of the lights outside donât work. Maybe it sounds like Iâm nitpicking, but I donât want to rent a place for any amount with burned out light bulbs, cobwebs and dust, TVâs over 10 years old, worn out furniture, and everything that can be done with minimal to no effort. You wouldnât accept a hotel like this, why should you accept this?
