Like that it was downtown walking distance to anything really. CVS behind, AT&T market day across street nice touch. Coffee shop at corner building with in house coffee mugs no need to waste on disposable cups. Older style building but no restaurant or morning breakfast. It’s ok took off to eat at local ones. Other than ok.

Sucks to suck…

The a/c wasn’t 70 as it was set to, it didn’t cool down until the second night after we told the front desk and just turned it down to 55 on the thermostat. There was mildew in the grout of the tub as you would expect from a motel 6 and not from a Dallas downtown hotel. After I informed the front desk of the a/c, we went out for dinner and I was never informed if it was fixed or working as it should be, which is why I just turned it down to 55. The hallway was colder than the room. Although “The Team” contacted me before my stay and made me feel assured we were staying at a luxury hotel.. it was just an average room, granted with a spectacular room. We will explore other options for our next anniversary but the Magnolia will still be on the list, however not at the top. Oh, and I had to eliminate a wasp in our room. Sucks to suck…

Hotel is older so some disrepair is usually expected. However what I did not expect was there to be a gap between the glass of the window pane and the wooden frame. You could audibly hear the wind blowing on the 26th floor. The bathroom had multiple areas of chipped paint, and poorly bondo’d whole in the wall. The a/c was subpar, I can’t image how sweltering it would be in the summer.

Older dated rooms

Loud noisy rooms, outdated rooms and the beds are very uncomfortable. Also valet parking for guest is $45 a night and there are no other parking lots close to the hotel. I will not book here again
