There’s nothing to like. From the moment you enter you’re hit with the aggressive odor of mold/mildew. They’re going to make someone sick. I requested a non smoking room, and when I entered it smelled like someone had JUST smoked a cigarette in there. No gym. The wash room is disgusting and moldy. The elevator is the slowest I’ve ever encountered. I almost just left and spent the night at the airport - at least they don’t have roaches!

I booked and paid for this hotel stay upfront. The staff, management, team members were horrible. I booked a room for my daughter who was in town for personal reasons. They refused to allow her to check in with her LA wallet ID. She had several other forms of ID with her name on it to prove identity but they still refused. There was no one who could come pick her up as she had taken a bus from Louisiana to Texas to seek treatment. She was left in the lobby with no options AND they had been paid AND the room was available. I called a hotel 1 mile away and explained the situation in detail to them. They told me to send her to them and they would make sure she received a room. Thank God for them because we had no idea what to do next since she had 2 more nights before she could be admitted to the treatment facility. And thanks to Expedia for convincing the hotel to refund my money! Empathy and maybe more training is needed at this hotel. LA wallet is an acceptable form of ID that’s even accepted at the airport by TSA.

Never again will I go. The smell of the entire hotel property was unbearable. It immediately smelled like human piss or urine inside the entire property, and my room was absolutely filthy. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in 57yrs of my life. That property absolutely give the Motel 8 franchise a bad name. I hope and pray that someone from the Motel 8 Corp would definitely contact me for a more detailed verbal explanation of my experience at that property. Ray Evans 469-316-1890 cell

Left early!!

The room look like a crime scene that had been corrected with plaster all over the walls. The door lock that flips didn’t work. The bedding was moist. Someone pulled the night stand away from the wall by a foot … of course very nasty stuff exposed. It was a challenge to change rooms. There wasn’t much effort to be accommodating until I pushed the issue. By the time they did, I was ready to leave early.

Check in staff was friendly enough, but things went downhill shortly afterwards. My initial room keycard didn't work, so I had to return to the front desk to have it re-keyed. When I finally got into the room I realized the door was not squarely mounted to the doorframe and that the deadbolt could not actually lock. The room furniture was very worn and the bedspread had a mysterious stain on it. The "breakfast included" consisted of one flavor of granola bar and coffee or tea. I signed up for the 6:50 am airport shuttle the night before and was in the lobby as requested by 6:40. The shuttle driver was over 10 minutes late, unapologetic and made a stop at another hotel before dropping me off at the airport. Thankfully, I didn't have to check any luggage.
