House was beautiful, cozy, and quaint. Very clean and loved the older vibes it was giving. One very minor complaint is that you canât change the thermostat. Maybe pack a fan if you run hot. Otherwise, would definitely stay again. Will keep this house in mind for the future.
Overall it was a great stay. We had a minor issue with towels and the owner fixed it immediately with some new towels. Very impressed with the quick response. We ended up needing a longer stay and owner worked with us, which made it way easier for us as we were there for a softball tournament and couldnât control our schedule times. The extra room was able to be cooled down so some reviews say the room is hot but if that was the case it is not anymore. The house was comfortable temperature wise the entire weekend and it was mid 90 degrees and we were never uncomfortable. Not a ton of kitchen supplies which was fine for us as I brought premade meals so I didnât need to make food. The oven worked well and there was a toaster oven as well that we used. Washer and dryer was super nice. Walmart is close by if the house doesnât have things you need or want. Oh and No bugs which is a big thing for me especially in the south with bugs being a huge problem if not treated. Great spot for a weekend softball tournament stay would definitely stay again.
First off, I will talk about the location. It's on a very busy street and you can hear the traffic throughout the day/night. Second, we had multiple problems with HVAC and Plumbing. We ended up getting a 100% refund from the owner and had to move out during the middle of the stay and find another VRBO. It was very inconvenient for us since we were trying to manage the communication with the owner and also spend time with family the main purpose of our visit. However, I will say that the owner did everything they could to make it right, it's just that with the continued plumbing issues we were not able to shower so we had no choice but to leave. I will say that the place is nice and as described. There is no HVAC in the entertainment room but a small heater that is available in there did the trick. The rooms were large and had the large 65" TVs in there which was nice. The showers are small, especially in the Master Bedroom. Again, I think if the owner takes care of some of the maintenance and you don't mind the traffic from Walnut Street it's a fairly decent place for the .
The house and property are very cool because of the age of the house and all the cool antiques. It does need some updating to be a good VRBO. It was advertised as a 3 bedroom when it was only a 2 bedroom. The 3rd "bedroom" was a living room with a trundle bed tucked in the corner. The showers were both very small. The hot water in the kitchen could only be used if you turned the water on under the sink. Only portions of the house had HVAC due to being added on to.
Clean cozy home. Was in Dalton with my wife at the Dalton Convention Center and the location was great. Close to restaurants and shopping areas but far enough to not have to deal with the busyness of traffic. Host was very polite and attentive! Will definitely recommend to others.
Location was good but a bit noisy. The home was clean and the neighborhood seemed safe. The kitchen wasn't the best equipped to cook in and the coffee maker was broke. The master bed was horrible and sunk in the middle really bad.
This recently remodeled home in Dalton's historic district exceeded all our expectations. The blend of modern comforts with the charm of yesteryears created a cozy retreat. Perfectly located near local attractions, it offered both convenience and tranquility.
Perfect location to everything that Dalton has to offer. Great communication with the host, very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
The house was adorable and we really enjoyed our stay. I will have to say that I think the maid might have overlooked some hair in the bathroom that was forgotten. My family has light brown and orange hair.
Quaint historic home very convenient to everything to do in Dalton. Loved the 3rd bedroom/media/game room and overall separation of bedrooms - privacy for all. Would definitely stay here again. Finding the house was a little tricky as the address is on Walton, but the house/driveway is actually on Valley which is a one-way street going the wrong way. You have to make a full block from Miller. Took us a bit when arriving after dark.
I found the floor to be dirty and our toilet seat was broken. We also were not given enough towels for the 4 days we were there and only two wash cloths. If it weren't for the above mentioned items the place was fine.
This house was just as described and in a central location to access multiple areas of Dalton. We used it to explore the many trails in the area. The owners were quick to respond on any questions. Iâll definitely be staying here again!
This was my second stay at this lovely home. I was here in March with another co worker and she booked it. Had to come back down for business and liked it so much the first time had to stay again. So much more spacious than pictures show. And hosts are very kind and informative. Town is cute and everything is so close. Set in a cute little neighborhood. When in area if available I will always book here.
Great place with lots of room for 3 couples. We were at the convention center all day but at night we enjoyed the room with a huge tv and lots of reclining couches. The third bedroom/ theater room needed a window air conditioner but we survived. The kitchen was nice but only had a Keurig so take your own coffee pot.
Very nicely restored historic home, nicely finished and decorated, clean, comfortable, host was easy to contact and responsive(and local)We had a great time, sorry we couldn't spend more of our 3 days there at the house.
