Hurricane getaway we left our home to escape the hurricane and went here
Clean Cottage had everything you could need or that I needed anyway able to cook had some salt and pepper coffee even a little s'mores box!
Beautiful property able to go crabbing hosts were kind and generous and the area is beautiful
We had a weekend party that used Emma's Hatcher House -- maybe 50 yards from Dogtrot -- as the main venue but had 3 couples sleep in Dogtrot Cottage. Very comfortable, clean and well-appointed accommodations with a layout that allowed for any desired combination of mingling or privacy. A bit further from the marsh than Hatcher so the views aren't as immediate but still very close to all the amenities (marsh, docks, pool, game pavilion) available at Emma's.
Words can't describe the natural beauty of this place. The cottage was equally great: very new, clean, and well-appointed. Very generous welcome gifts. What a relaxing place to spend time with the family, whether hanging around the cottage, at one of the two great docks on marsh creeks, or the lovely pool/pool house directly overlooking seemingly unending marsh. Event barn had ping pong, foosball, other assorted games, and plenty of bikes to borrow to ride all around the property. Everything was first class in every way, we will definitely return. Would be a magnificent location for a wedding or family reunion.
My husband and I spent five nights in the Dogtrot Cottage on Emmaâs Driftwood Farm.
The property is absolutely gorgeous, like something out of a movie with the towering oak trees covered in sweeping moss all around. The grounds were very well taken care of, the pool and spring house were beautiful. The two of us and our two pups enjoyed walking on the property and out on the docks, and it felt as though we had the entire place to ourselves. The cottage was impeccably maintained, beautifully decorated, and had everything we could have asked for and more. The charcuterie board in the fridge was a lovely surprise, as was the bottle of wine, the stoneground grits and cornbread and the honey, which was harvested there on the property, and the delicious coffee.
It was the most peaceful and relaxing vacation ever, and we will definitely will be back. Thank you so much for sharing your breathtaking estate with us.
Comfy beds, too! đ
