Disappointing Stay – Did Not Meet Expectations

I booked Dusit D2 Davao expecting a modern and spacious hotel experience, based on the photos provided online. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it. The hotel appeared outdated and cramped upon arrival. The pictures made the pool seem large and inviting, but in person, it was quite small and underwhelming. On a positive note, the check-in process was smooth and the staff were genuinely accommodating. One staff member even escorted us to our room, which reminded me of the service we’ve experienced at luxury hotels like the Four Seasons. That gesture was appreciated. However, the room itself was a letdown. It felt old and lacked visual appeal. We were told we had a pool view, but it was barely visible unless you leaned far out to the side. The pillows were stained, and I had to call to have them changed — something that should never happen at a hotel of this standard, or maybe this is the standard of this hotel. There were three of us in the room, yet it was only set up for two — only two towels and two sets of toiletries. I had to request the additional items, which should have been prepared in advance. These details may seem small, but they add up and really impacted the overall experience. Dusit D2 Davao has potential, especially with its courteous staff, but the facilities and attention to detail need major improvement. Sadly, it did not live up to expectations.

This is a good hotel located close to some good restaurants. How ever the check in process took a long time and we did not have access to our room for 2 hours past the alloted check in time wven though we were there sitting in the lobby since 9 am. terrinle experience. I will not be back.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding the necessity to request and wait housekeeping for my room. Additionally, certain areas around the pool were lacking in adequate seating and tables, which hindered my ability to relax, I also experience a considerable wait for transportation. I hope these issues can be addressed. to enhance the overall guest experience.

Checked in around midnight due to a delayed flight. It was my first time at Dusit and I was impressed—the room was spacious, the bathroom was large and very clean. Staff were courteous and professional. Only minor issue: the receptionist didn’t mention where breakfast would be served, which would’ve been helpful in such a big hotel. Overall, a pleasant stay and I’d gladly return.

We enjoyed our stay here at Dusit Hotel. There was a bit of a delay with our room due to a mix up with the booking. But the concierge handle it very well. Get our correct room ready ASAP and while waiting she gave us a complimentary drink at one of the restaurants… highly recommended.
