While there were a few items needing attention of maintenance, overall we loved the home, location, and beachfront. Our family outing was everything we hoped it would be. The property manager was nice and easy to communicate with via email. We really appreciated the space the provided!
Thank you for hosting our famiky! and the
Loved the location of the home. Beach is beautiful and private. The host, Amy, was great with communication. Home is nice but could use some minor upkeep and TLC.
The setting is unique, pristine, and private.
The house could use some upgradesâŠcooking supplies, lighting, leaky faucet but was very comfortable with amazing views from the enormous deck.
The home had a beautiful view of the bay. And it was an easy walk to the beach. We loved that you could walk the beach for miles. Kayaking in the area was perfect. The loons greeted us each morning.
The home interior was just right. The beds seemed new and were very comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace. The kitchen is due for a check on a couple of things. Pans were worn and coffee pot took a long time to brew. Laundry room was great.
The beach was the highlight! Wide soft sandy bottom and crystal clear. It was perfect for swimming. We had probably the hottest muggiest week of the summer but still comfortable at night with the lake breeze and room fans. Bugs actually were not too bad. A little wear and tear here and there but nothing out of the ordinary for a beach house rental. Could use some better pans if planning on cooking a lot. Amy was great on the communication and we would stay there again.
This stay makes you feel off the map with your own private beach and secluded dune terrain. Plenty of space and a well stocked place with everything you need from cooking and going to the beach. We went in late June and the Lake Huron was more of a cold plunge than leisure swim but we still had a blast looking for rocks and walking the beach. The expansive deck was wonderful and the kids loved the little dune area by the grill to play on. Not a huge deal but be careful on the deck with splinters & Have your kiddos wear shoes or sandals around that area as best you can. There is a fire pit close to the cabin which is nice to end the day. Highly recommend this stay.
This house was located in a remote area with direct access to the beach. Beautiful sandy shores and a cool breeze off lake Huron made this a fantastic getaway from the heat. We had two 18 y.os. with us and they had a blast! They played in the water and kayaked the lake in the calm evening. Bring bug spray when you sit outside. The flies were biting!
We really enjoyed our stay! The location was beautiful, tucked away along the waterfront, but still an easy drive to mutiple small populated towns for groceries, gift shops, etc. Beautiful views, well equipped and clean, and overall a really lovely little beach house!
So thankful for a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful setting. The property has everything you would need, and is exactly as listed. Our family enjoyed our stay. Thanks for being great hosts.
We loved staying at this beautiful home. The lake is amazing. It's a sandy bottom beach that is easy to walk in. Not too deep and the kids swam for hours. We shopped in St Ignice, but the grocery store a town over- Cederville - looked like it would have fit our needs. It was a memorable trip!
Our family had a wonderful time relaxing together at this beachside home. The home was well-stocked with the needed items. You can hear the waves from the house when you open the sliding glass doors onto the big deck. The kids loved catching tadpoles in the creek next to the beach. We spent long days playing on the beach and enjoying the view. It was wonderful having our own beachâŠand even better that there was no house on the left side of the houseâŠand the neighbor to the right kept to themselves. The privacy and lovely nature scape was just what we needed. You can see a million stars at night while enjoying a campfire and listening to the waves. (You will definitely want to load up on mosquito spray, as there is no shortage of them.) one of the days we went to Detour Village and enjoyed a cute little gift shop and a pizza place, walked along the marina, and watched the ferry go to Drummond Island. We definitely recommend this rental.
Perfect for relaxing, swimming and Kayaking. The weather was fantastic allowing us to take in everything the place could offer. The beach was clean and given the shallow waters allowed you walk out at least a couple hundred feet. Would be great for young ones. The availability of Kayaks and blow ups allowed the family to be very entertained. The House had everything we needed for our family which included ages up to 85.
Long weekend stay in mid-November. Beautiful view of Lake Huron. Warm and cozy watching an early winter storm with high winds, angry waves and blowing snow. The next day the sun was shining on a peaceful lake in winter glory.
The house fit all our needs. The entrance room before you enter the house is a great idea.
Kitchen was well stocked, although we bring our own cooking items (every place is unpredictable). Beds were great. Quiet and peaceful.
We would highly recommend this place...
