We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was quite spacious, so the kids were able to play in one area and the adults could relax and converse without interruption. We all had a great time exploring outside as well; it's very scenic.
The bed frames are falling apart; two of the kids and myself all hurt ourselves on exposed screws and sharp edges. There was also mouse poop in a few of the kitchen cupboards. We're not particularly squeamish as we live in the country and expect that kind of thing, so we just washed the dishes that were in those cupboards before we used them, but it is something that might bother other guests. When I notified the property owner of this, I didn't get any response. Again, I wasn't upset personally, but it would be nice just to have it acknowledged. It also snowed the day before we left, and no one came to plow the drive until the following morning. My husband had to run into town to pick up more milk, and fortunately he has a big truck with 4 wheel drive, otherwise we'd be stuck.
Again, we are pretty laid-back people, so none of this really spoiled the stay for us, and we had a lovely time. Overall, it's a really great place.
