Most aspects of my stay were excellent, but there were dirty clothes left in the drawer by the previous occupant, and aside from the complimentary breakfast, dining options at the hotel are nearly non-existent.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Decorah. Great hotel bar for happy hour or a nightcap. Room was clean, beds were so comfortable and it was quiet. Very neat hotel!

We very much enjoyed the historical significance of this nicely refurbished property and will stay again on our next trip to/through Decorah. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed and the hotel staff are courteous as well as helpful.

Disappointing

Stayed in Presidential Suite. Very noisy from Water street both at night and in morning. Poor lighting in room especially after sun went down. No full service restaurant although many close by.

The building is old, but beautifully maintained and updated. There is so much more interest and character in a building with history, a building which was constructed in an era when craftsmanship was prized and the materials used were beautiful wood and stone. It was a pleasure to stay there.
