3/10 Broken AC

The apartment was located in a good location, however we had a bad experience at the Modern Escape. We arrived to see a temporary AC unit set up in the living room and the entire unit was uncomfortable. We were not notified of this prior to our stay, so we immediately notified the owner. The owner informed us they were aware of this issue and told us that it was supposed to have been corrected the day before our arrival. The temporary solution (which left a18” x 6” open gap in the window, and was still in place after our departure 3 days later, and the owners response to this situation was that “life happens”. We are avid travelers and completely understand that these things happen, but considering we could not sleep and were uncomfortable for our entire duration, we felt this situation was not handled properly. When asked if we could receive a partial refund, the owner offered a very marginal discount and refused to issue until we wrote a positive review. It has been three weeks with no refund that the owner agreed to.
